You know, every year we lose at least one dumb tourist in Nevada. Why?
'That big cave looks really interesting! I wanna go see!' That's a mine shaft. You were WARNED about mine shafts. THEY HAVE LARGE PITS YOU FALL INTO AND DIE.
'Oh hey that body of water looks like a great place to swim!' It's contaminated with mercury and twelve other heavy metals. There's signs everywhere. How did you miss this?
'I only need a small water bottle for a five-hour hike!' Buddy. Pal. I can pull that off, because I am chronically dehydrated and somehow survive it. (It's the fat, I think.) But trust me, normal people cannot do that, and even I drink water when I stop for lunch. You are normal. You will die slow.
'Hey, Pyramid Lake looks cool!' The local tribe has an entire set of stories about how if you hear babies laughing, the next day you will die on the lake. And at least one boat gets pulled under a year. The park has warning signs about that plastered all over it. Yeah, sure, riptide--but honestly, that lake even looks like it's gonna kill you, it has no greenery at all around it, it's just water and then desert, how are you this stupid?
'Aww, that bear looks so CUDDLY!' You know what, you're clearly unsaveable. Give me your kid, I'll find them a home with a loving adult who explains that forks don't go in light sockets. We'll hold your funeral. Your kids' new adult can explain that some people are just meant as a warning to others. They'll grow up to appreciate your sacrifice. We all will. You will serve as an example to future tourists to just, for the love of fuck, stay in the damn cities. At least there someone will stop you from ANNOYING A GODDAMN BEAR.
Really. If you come to Nevada, just...stay where there's sidewalks. You'll end up less dead.

Bob up-stretched his arms and shed his undershirt from his flight suit. It practically stuck to his skin with sweat and grime from a day of flying too close to the sun. He was about to hit the showers quickly in enough time to make it back home to you.
He was never one to hang about after training. The quicker he could get in and out, the quicker he could get home to his wife. That was before he heard a loud clang of a locker from behind him, followed by a whistle.
“Damn, Baby. You’ve been in a fight with a bear or somethin’?”
Jake’s voice from behind Bob caused his eye to twitch. He turned around to face the blonde pilot with an unphased expression on his face. Jake on the other hand was wearing his million-dollar, cock sure smile. He leaned against his locker with nothing on. All he was holding was his towel, bunched up in his hand and just about covering his cock.
Bob hated how overly confident Jake could be in the showers. He also hated how he found himself always trying to get a glance.
Jake had opted to now call Bob, Baby. It all stemmed from his years-old joke of what B.O.B. stood for. Baby on Board was too long for Jake, so he was just Baby.
“How’d you get those war marks on your back, Baby?” Jake jabbed again, licking at his bottom lip.
Bob’s eyes narrowed inwards towards Jake before cooling off. He chewed at the inside of his cheek as he remembered last night with you. He wanted to tell Jake to fuck off and that his sex with you is private, and he’d never utter a word to anyone about your shared, deepest darkest fantasies.
But then he remembered your shared discussion of bringing someone else in and how you both settled on Jake as a possible option. It was only talk, but at this point, Bob bit the hand that fed him.
“I don’t know,” He shrugged. “Why don’t y’ ask my wife?”
A chorus of hollers and cheers from the other pilots in the locker room could be heard and Jake bit back a laugh.
“As if, Baby. I don’t believe you fuck that good.”
“Y’ know, Bagman, if y’ want to see, how about you fuck my wife yourself?” He slammed his locker door and stared down at Jake.
Bob couldn’t help it, he really couldn’t. It had been playful, teasing jabs at one another for years and as it went on, they became far more flirtatious on both party's accounts. The locker room went into another uproar at Bob’s quick tongue and mouthful back at the cocky pilot, but he was still holding his intense gaze.
Jake’s smile had faltered an inch, only his eyes zoned in on Bob’s. He let his tongue run alongside his cheek and puffed out his chest. He wanted Bob to call bluff so badly, to call off whatever this was, to prove Jake wrong that he hadn’t been flirting with him all these years, but Bob didn’t move an inch. Not until he flung his towel over his shoulder and headed for the showers.
He briefly heard the laughter and other remarks from the pilots before the commotion died down. As he turned on the shower, the sound of water filtering through and splashing on the tiles drowned out the rest. That was until he heard the footsteps inch closer towards him.
Out of Bob’s peripheral vision, broad shoulders and sandy blonde hair came too. He continued to pay no mind to him and let the sound of the water continue to fill the room. It ran over the thick and heavy tension that was settling in the air. Neither of them spoke a word as they lathered themselves up with soap and let the duds fall to the tiles and down the drain. Unknown to either of them, they would occasionally steal glances at the other when getting the soap out of their eyes.
Bob would watch how the droplets of water dribbled down Jake’s toned torso and caught on the soft hairs of his pubic bone.
Jake would follow the trail of veins poking through Bob’s forearms and up his biceps, watching how they flexed in time with him washing the shampoo out of his hair.
Bob reached to the small shelf holding the soap to lather himself one last time. His fingers outstretched and met another set of hands reaching for the same. They met Jake’s and through the soaking water, he felt a jolt meet his fingertips and run through his veins. He was surprised at how soft they felt, yet he knew they could control a whole aircraft. It made a shiver start in his neck and run down his spine. The warm water did nothing to hide the goosebumps that were left in its wake.
Jake looked up and caught Bob’s eyes for the first time during the shower. He swallowed thickly before croaking out, “Baby, what I said back there, I didn’t mean—”
“This Saturday. I know you’re free. Come round to ours at seven.”
Before Jake could respond to Bob’s bold response, he slammed his water off, grabbed his towel and was out of the shower.
Jake was left with his lips parted in a breathless and wordless daze. His hand was still wrapped around the soap and squeezing so tight, he didn’t realize he had destroyed the bar completely.
Tumblr media
He couldn’t believe he was here. He’d been round to Bob’s only once before and that was only to drop some paperwork off. He hadn’t even been in his hallway, let alone his bedroom, with his wife.
Everything had been agreed upon prior. Jake came round at seven on the Saturday as agreed and you answered the door with a warm and welcoming smile.
He could never deny that Bob’s wife was beautiful. You were radiant. He offered in return a kiss to your cheek and let his large hand fall to the small of your back, bringing you in. His hand was warm and firm. You felt your heart pound a little faster through your rib cage at his touch, letting your mind wonder what his hand would feel like against your bare skin.
Jake let himself inhale your perfume that rested under your jaw and the sweet smell of shampoo in your hair. It was intoxicating to him. You were beaming at him as you greeted him politely, took his jacket and hung it up on the coat hooks in the hallway.
It was such a simple gesture, but with the combined smell of something delicious cooking through the kitchen, Jake felt safe. He had entered a warm and loving home, and it settled his nerves to whatever was about to be offered.
You ate (with Jake complimenting Bob’s cooking more times than he could count), exchanged more polite conversation and then agreed on what was to happen. You slinked up to your bedroom to shed your sundress into something else before calling your husband and his co-worker upstairs. Bob took the lead up the stairs with Jake following behind.
As he came into your bedroom and saw the sight of you, a deep rumble of appreciation left Bob’s chest with a smirk resting on his lips. “My beautiful, beautiful, wife. You look gorgeous, darlin’.”
“Thank you.” You shyly replied, feeling the heat creep up your cheeks as Jake came through the doorway and his eyes fell on you.
It was the first time he had seen you like this. So exposed, so vulnerable. You were wearing a simple oversized white shirt, one that Bob would wear with his Navy whites. It was far too torn and tattered for him to wear anymore, but it became a piece of clothing Bob would become ravenous over, especially if you weren’t wearing anything underneath.
The open shirt lay over your stiff nipples but didn’t hide the swell of your breasts. With your legs crossed as you sat on the edge of your bed, you could just about catch the soft mound of your pubic bone, but your thighs were exposed. The drape of the shirt barely covered them.
Jake swallowed thickly again and his tongue darted out to wet his bottom lip, feeling his mouth dry up ever more. He let his heavy gaze run up and over your body and your cheeks only turned a rosier shade of pink, flushed hot. His cock twitched in his pants and it prompted him, after not saying anything for what seemed like an eternity.
“You… You look, gorgeous. Bob’s a lucky husband.” Jake half-heartedly laughed.
He was nervous.
Jake ‘Hangman’ Seresin was nervous.
Bob had a natural-born instinct for reading people and he could tell in an instant what Jake was doing.
Truth be told, Jake had already had a couple of threesomes in his lifetime, but it had never been this intimate. It had never been with a co-worker's wife, never with someone who he had come to like, never in a safe and loving environment.
Bob let his hand fall to Jake’s back and gently ran his thumb in circles to soothe the nerves of the pilot. He smoothed his hand down his back further and gently linked his fingers with his to coax him closer to you and your bed.
Jake now stood in front of you with Bob to the side and his hand gently resting in your hair. You stayed sat and gazed up at the tall blonde with a look of lust clouding your eyes.
“Jake?” You called out his name sweetly. It was barely above a whisper but his ears turned hot at hearing you say his name so sweetly. “Can I touch you?”
Your question and now the clear sight of your breasts caused Jake’s cock to twitch again, and he breathed out a desperate, “Yes.”
You tentatively reached your hands out and let your fingers graze over his shirt, feeling the ripple of muscles underneath him. You moved over his large forearms and further up his biceps. As your hands rose higher, you eventually stood up from the bed, Bob’s hand never leaving your frame and now resting on the small of your back. It was a familiar touch that still grounded you to him, despite the situation.
Your hands ran around his shoulders and behind his neck. “You can touch me, Jake.” You quietly prompted him, now standing to his height. His hands reached out and fell to your hips. He squeezed you gently through the crisp fabric of the shirt and you let out a gasp. “Remember, you say the word and we stop this.”
He nodded, but Bob pressed his finger to Jake’s chin to turn him. “Words, baby.”
Baby.
Baby.
Bob Floyd was calling Jake, baby and it ignited something so deep within him he could feel a flame lick at his stomach.
“Yes. We say the words and we stop this.” Jake corrected himself and you smiled at him with an electrified smile. He had tasted love and it tasted sweet. The flame that was licking in his stomach was burning bright and deep, and it encouraged him greatly. He felt a newfound swell of confidence burn over him and he hooked his finger under your chin and brought your lips to his.
His kiss was soft at first, letting his lips become accustomed to yours before you let out a needful whine and tugged at the soft blonde hairs at the base of his neck. You pulled him closer and he reciprocated with a harsher squeeze of your hips. They were flush against his crotch and you could feel his ever-growing bulge rub against you. The grind from you caused him to groan into the kiss and let his tongue dip between your lips and run alongside.
Both your cheeks were flush with a warm glow and Bob could feel the heat radiating off you both, as you continued to press yourself against Jake growing hotter with desire. You parted from his lips with a gasp, unable to hold back your ever-growing smile.
“Jake, Bobby,” You turned to your husband whose eyes were heavy and his pupils completely dilated black. “I need you both.”
“Of course,” Bob purred and slid his hand from your back to the base of your neck, pulling you to be millimetres from his lips. “Will you be a good girl and show our guest what your pretty little mouth can do?”
You quietly moaned and nodded, letting Bob pull at your neck and press his lips to yours in a searing kiss. Jake let out a curse of your name at seeing you bend to his touch. He was beginning to get a taste of just how dominant Bob could be and it intrigued him even further.
“Off for me and on your knees,” Bob instructed you again with a flick of his finger under your shirt. You willingly shed your shirt and let it fall to the bed. Now completely naked to Jake, he let out a wanton groan. You sank to your knees and gazed longingly upwards at the two pilots, their cocks both straining hard against their trousers and appearing prominently.
The sight was nothing like Jake had ever seen before. Your nipples were stiff and you sat obediently with your hands in your lap, awaiting your husband's next instruction. But it never came. Jake’s shoulders had rolled backwards and he was relaxed. He was adhering to the agreement that you were to do as they say. He let his fingers cradle your jaw and gently slipped his thumb between your lips. You took it into your mouth eagerly and sucked on it. The feeling of your tongue swirling around his thumb had him longing to know what it felt like on his hard cock.
“Jesus, such a sweet thing, Bobby. So good, so obedient.” Jake purred and Bob chuckled.
“There’s the Jake I had imagined in the bedroom,” Bob said lowly with a smirk.
Jake couldn’t hold back the heat that rose to his cheeks as he thought of Bob imagining him in the bedroom, but he was brought back to the present by the needy moan of you below them.
Bob shushed you gently and reassured you. “I’m sorry, darlin’. We’ve been deprivin’ you, haven’t we?” You nodded again and this time, they both let out a low chuckle.
They made quick work of unbuckling their belts and pushing the waistband of their boxers down to let their aching cocks slap against their torsos. You had always thought Bob was big, but Jake was no different. Your mouth began to salivate and you moved towards Bob, but his hand was in your hair and pulling you back with a click from his tongue.
“Nu-uh, darlin’. Guests first.”
You swallowed and looked back at Jake who was gazing down at you with his pupils blown wide with desire. He gripped the base of his cock and let his tip move past your lips tentatively. The soft feeling of your mouth wrapping just around his tip had Jake groaning. You moved your mouth further down his shaft, with Bob’s hand not letting go of your hair to steady you, but it couldn’t stop you. You wanted to feel Jake rest heavily on your tongue completely. You felt his tip nudge at your throat and a gag rumbled through your throat. Jake stumbled and his hips stuttered forward.
“Shit. Oh God, sweets. So needy for me already, hm?”
You whined around him and it vibrated off his shaft, earning another deep groan from Jake. Your eyes flicked to the side and you caught a glimpse of Bob fisting his cock heavy in his hand, his jaw set solid and his eyes trained heavily on you both, watching how your mouth took every inch of him. You wanted to put on a show for your dear and loving husband. You wanted to show him you craved this just as badly as him.
You worked your mouth up and over Jake’s thick shaft with precise strokes. Every time his swollen tip hit the back of your throat he let out another rumbled groan, earning smaller groans from Bob. Your tongue was laying flat underneath his base and it allowed Bob to gently start rocking your head for himself, letting Jake fuck your throat, his hips rocking into you.
Another handful of movements from Bob came before he was getting antsy. “C’ere, sweetheart.” He purred and moved your head off Jake to place your swollen lips around his shaft. You sunk easily, knowing every inch and vein like the back of your hand. Your nose brushed against Bob’s brown curls at his base as he rocked into your mouth. You gazed up at your husband with tears starting to prick the corners of your eyes from your throat being fucked so consistently. Bob’s jaw was still set firm as he revelled in the familiar feeling of his wife’s mouth, letting out deep moans and hissing when his tip hit the back of your throat repeatedly.
But Jake was beginning to get cocky.
“I thought we were doing this so I could fuck your wife stupid. Earn those bear marks of yours.” Jake drawled out with a smug tone before reaching for your hair and pulling you off Bob, leaving him snarling from the loss of contact so suddenly. A pitiful whine left your lips with a string of saliva still connecting to your husband's tip. As you swallowed back around Jake’s cock you began to bounce gently on your knees, your bare cunt trying to find friction from the air as desperation began to make you clench around nothing.
Bob let out a chuckle as he saw you hump the air pathetically. “I don’t think y’ need to wait much longer.” He pulled you off Jake once more and cradled your jaw to let you gaze upwards. “Do y’ want to be fucked now, Bunny? You’ve been so good for me and your guests.”
“Please, please, please. I’ve been so good.” You pouted slightly, your eyes pleading desperately with your husband. He hummed in pleasant agreement and reached down to pick you up gently, laying you on the bed as if you were fragile porcelain.
By this time Jake was already stripping himself off his clothes and Bob followed in tandem. Although your mouth was just full of heavy saliva, your throat dried up and your breathing quickened as you caught sight of the two naked pilots. Bob’s beauty was always intoxicating and dizzying to you and you found Jake giving you the same effect.
You counted your lucky stars of your current situation and your husband found himself doing the same. He had seen Jake naked too many times for him to count, but this was different. His eyes were heavy with desire, and his cheeks and chest were flushed with the most beautiful rosy pink. He had never noticed how blonde the soft curls were on his pubic bone, as his cock was pressed against his tone torso, although he’d caught sight of them constantly in the showers. They replicated how his hair was dusty and sun-kissed blonde, already becoming ruffled from Jake running his hand through his hair.
Bob thought he’d never looked so handsome.
“Jake?”
“Baby?”
The name made Bob shiver and his stomach crashed like thunderous waves against stone rocks.
“Can I kiss you?”
“Please, Baby.” Jake gasped before wrapping his hand around the back of Bob’s head, his fingers tugging gently on his hair as he pressed his lips against his. They both let out a deep moan in unison. Years of tension and yearning rolled off their shoulders and bubbled up their throats as they tasted each other for the first time.
You watched keenly from the bed. It both made your heart bloom with a thousand flowers that your husband found solace within Jake and caused your abdomen to feel as though a thousand butterflies were coursing through you. Your thighs pressed and rubbed together to alleviate some of the growing arousal. You let out a whimper and they broke from the kiss to look at you, both with a lopsided smile on their faces.
As you pulled your thighs apart and felt the cool air run over your twitching cunt, Bob cooed. “Bunny, we’re so sorry. We’re comin’.”
Jake could feel his mouth salivate at the sight of Bob’s wife’s thighs spread apart and their pussy glistening with arousal, practically throbbing. “Look at that pretty pussy, sweets. Your thighs are slick already.” He groaned, kneeling between your thighs.
Bob took place up by your head, letting his hand soothe through your hair and his other holding the base of his cock, giving himself lazy, slow strokes.
Your hands came under your thighs to hold yourself open for him, squirming your hips closer to his cock as Jake took it in his hand and slapped it on your aching clit. It jolted sparks of pleasure through your abdomen at its first contact and you let out a loud whine. Your hips involuntarily bucked upwards to chase the feeling and Jake relished in the neediness of your touch. His free hand came to grip your hip as he ran his tip through your folds and collected your arousal, smearing it over your clit. It earned louder moans from yourself and more desperate bucking. He was smirking down at you with his signature cock sure smile.
“I want to remember the moment I slip my cock inside Bob’s wife’s tight pussy.”
He hissed as he slowly slid inside you and felt your slick walls take him, clenching tightly. He was thicker than Bob and you squirmed your hips, moaning as you adjusted to his size. He cursed to himself and threw his head back when your hips met his.
“Jesus, takin’ me so pretty, sweetheart. That’s it… Good fuckin’ girl.” He purred down to you as he momentarily slid out before feeling his tip run back over your sweet spot nestled deep inside you. At each slow and teasing stroke, you clenched tighter around him. You finally felt so full and you didn’t want the feeling to be taken away. You were desperately chasing it.
As he set a pace you glanced up at Bob with a couple of stray tears now leaving the corners of your eyes. “B—Bobby,” You whined. “He feels s’ g—good. It feels so good, fuck!”
Bob’s thumb gently wiped your tears away and smoothed over your hot cheeks, gently reassuring you. “Such a good girl for me. My pretty little wife looking s’ fuckin’ pretty takin’ another pilot's cock.”
As his thumb came down to his lips, you took it into your mouth to soothe yourself, but Bob removed it quickly. “No, no. C’ere,” He gripped the mid-length of his cock and let his tip fall between your parted lips. You eagerly sucked as much of his length as you could from this angle. “Good, Bunny.” He praised you.
You let your eyes flutter shut as the beginnings of complete pleasure roll over your body in waves. Over and over, you felt the powerful thrust of Jake’s hips with Bob rocking and resting heavily on your tongue. Two pairs of hands were gripping onto your flesh or soothing over your goosebumps, occasionally tugging on your stiff nipples to elicit louder, yet muffled, moans. You were stuffed full and you felt whole.
Jake’s thrusts picked up their pace and he was pistoning with such pressure you could feel the familiar warmth in your stomach grow. As his pubic bone met yours it grazed over your clit. It was small and frictionless contact, but the teasing alone had you nearly coming undone.
“They’re squeezin’ me so tight.” Jake gritted between his teeth, still cursing your name so pretty.
The corners of Bob’s lips quirked upwards and his eyes zoned in your expression. Your jaw was slack and although still stuffed full, you were drooling around his length with your eyes all but rolling back into your skull. He knew you were close.
“You want to earn those bear marks now?” Bob quipped. He grunted and nodded feverishly at him. Bob slipped from your mouth with drool still connecting to his tip. You mewled as he left you, but he was quick to reassure you he would be right here as he slid his hands into your hair.
With silent encouragement from Bob, Jake doubled down over your body and his large frame covered you whole. Your hands fell to his shoulders and gripped them tightly. One of his broad forearms rested by you to hold himself up enough that he could snake his hand between your slick sweaty bodies and find your aching clit. The soft pads of his fingers connected to you and you cried out his name loudly, finally feeling a firm pressure. He drew lazy circles around you with his thrusts now seemingly impossibly closer to you.
“Please, please, please… oh God!” Incoherent babbling left you as hot tears continued to streak down your cheeks. You never thought your husband’s, co-workers cock, could ever feel so fucking good.
“Bobby, Bobby!” You screamed instinctively. “Can I come?”
You heard him bark out a laugh behind you.
“Don’t ask me. It’s not my cock makin’ you cry, Bunny.”
Your brain was clouded with what felt like cotton and you scrambled to find the words quickly as your orgasm was building at a frighteningly quick pace.
“Jake! Can I come? Oh God, please can I come?” You babbled. Through his laboured breathing, you felt his warm breath tickle against your ear as he chuckled.
“Never gon’ want any other cock, sweets. I’ve ruined you for your husband, haven’t I?” Condensation was laced thick in his tone and it made you squeeze your eyes tightly shut, holding on so tight to stave off your orgasm.
“Look at me, sweetheart.” He barked out the order and your eyes peeled open with the most pleading expression you could muster, as he continued to rock deeply into you. Your nails by now were forming crescent shapes on his tanned skin. The beginnings of the bear marks. “Tell me, fuckin’ tell me and you can come.”
Everyone who was currently in the bedroom that was dowsed in the scent of sweat and sex, knew that this was not true. You would always love Bob and you would always want his cock. It was certainly still the most mouth-watering and appealing thing to you. You found yourself dreaming of having them both ruin you, forever.
But at this moment, Jake’s lusting and filthy words were clouding your senses and making Bob’s cock twitch heavy in his hand. For he too was incredibly aroused by Jake’s words and the sight below him.
“Y—you’ve, r—ruined me, Jake.” Your bottom lip began to tremble. “Please!” You begged with a hoarse cry. His fingertips pressed down firmer with precise motions and the last thing you saw before you snapped, was him grinning down at you like the Devil.
“Come for me, sweets.”
With a couple more swipes of his fingers over your abused clit, combined with the punishing pleasure from his thick cock, you were seeing stars. A white-hot feeling flooded from your abdomen outwards across your body. Your toes curled and you wailed. The crashing sensation of your orgasm wracked your body whole, cursing his name, Bob’s name.
You felt Bob’s hands soothe through your hair and you could faintly hear his sweet praise over Jake’s loud groans.
Jake didn’t let up with his thrusts. He pressed his sweaty frame closer to yours and snaked his hand away from your twitching clit. His face pressed into the crook of your neck and your nails raked over his back as he fucked you through your orgasm. With how close you were held against him, there was still enough friction rubbing mercilessly over your clit. His voice was hot in your ear and you heard him.
“Feel s’ fuckin’ good for me, I’m so lucky. You’re both so perfect, shit.” At his final curse, he groaned deep into your sweat-covered neck and you felt his teeth graze over your tender flesh and suck harshly. He was hissing and grunting with his thrusts becoming sloppier, but you could feel himself leak into you.
Everything was so deadly intoxicating. You never wanted to leave this room. You wanted to stay with them both forever.
His thrusts eventually slowed completely and he pulled off your burning frame. His own body was completely flushed pink with his sandy blonde hair mused and some strands of his hair stuck to his forehead with sweat. As his softening cock pulled out of you and you felt his spend trickle down your puffy lips, you let out a pitiful whine, suddenly feeling so empty.
He wore a satisfied grin as he gazed over the pretty sight of your pussy and then back up at Bob. You felt Bob’s large hands trail over your shoulders and squeeze against your breasts. You craned your neck to look at him with your eyelashes fluttering and a cock drunk smile plastered over your lips. Your body trembled with anticipation, knowing you still had Bob, and your clit was still aching for just one more.
A chorus of praises and strings of kisses to your warm flesh, left the two pilots' lips as they gently moved your trembling frame. Jake sat against the headboard with your back pressed against his chest. A pillow was slid under your hips to elevate them higher to allow Bob to make your eyes water from pleasure with the angle. Your hands were holding onto Jake’s forearms as you looked your husband in the eye, kneeling in front of you with a grin.
He held the base of his cock firmly and let his tip run through your folds and catch Jake’s spend mixing with your leaking arousal. He pushed it against your swollen clit and you let out a breathy moan, your eyes already faltering shut. Behind you, Jake watched the scene unfold with hooded eyes and soft groans. Bob teased you for a moment longer before easily bottoming out inside of you with a hiss and a groan.
“S’ warm for me, Bunny. Taken Jake’s cock and you’re still so tight for me, aren’t you?”
You mewled and dug your nails in tighter to Jake’s forearm, earning more scratches on his skin. Bob had patiently sat by and watched his friend fuck his wife. He was wasting no time and set a cruel pace instantly. The sudden feeling of feeling so full with his familiar size had you moaning and squirming your hips already, but he kept his hands firmly on your thighs to hold you open and take what he gave you. His swollen tip was rubbing mercilessly at your spongy sweet spot and the angle was enhancing your pleasure to a feeling so sweet, that you felt as though you could burst. One of Jake’s large hands snaked upwards to pinch and tweeze your nipples, heightening your sensitivity. You heard his groans low and hot in your ear as you responded with desperate whines.
Pleasure was licking at the flame in your abdomen, but with your heightened sensitivity it was producing something else. Something more.
“Oh, Bobby!” You practically wailed. He felt the way you clenched tightly around him and how your walls pushed down. He knew your body like the back of his hand.
He groaned at the tightening sensation and gave a final piercing thrust before pulling his cock out entirely. You pushed down and gasped out a breathy moan as you felt your arousal squirt out of you.
“That’s it, good girl, good fuckin’ girl.” Bob groaned again with a knowing and smug smile pulling at the corners of his lips. He moved his fingers through your wetness and watched it splatter over your thighs.
“Jesus, Baby. Makin’ them feel so good.” Jake groaned louder from behind you, before directing his words back to you. “I’d love to see you squirt on my cock next.”
You could hear the cocky pilot's grin from behind you as he let his lips run over the shell of your ear and nibble gently.
There was a deadly concoction mixing in your abdomen as Bob bottomed out inside of you again and you took in Jake’s words. The notion of another night like this had your head spinning. Their sinful words and fiery touch on your skin had you feeling hot and dizzy. The pleasure was seeping through every vein of your body with every jolt caused by Bob’s cock pushing deep inside of you. You were gasping and moaning incoherently, only able to feel this ecstasy-inducing feeling. If it wasn’t for their grip on your body, you would’ve gone completely limp.
Suddenly you could feel Bob’s soft thumb on your now throbbing clit, rubbing precise circles. There was nothing lazy about Bob Floyd when he fucked.
Hot tears began to fall from the corners of your eyes and streak down your cheeks. You were babbling nonsense by now and you felt your impending orgasm grow closer with each swipe of his thumb. Your jaw was going slack and as you panted hungrily, tiny droplets of drool were pooling in the corners of your mouth.
“Are you gonna come again?” You whimpered his name in response and Bob snickered. “You are, aren’t you? So desperate for cock. It’s pathetic to watch. My sweet little Bunny practically drools as they take another man’s cock.”
Your stomach swirled at his words, in time with the swirl of his thumb. “Bobby!” It was a shriek of a plea, like nothing Jake had ever heard before. “Please can I come? Please, please, please…”
As you begged harder, your tears began to fall harder. Bob watched your body lovingly, with heavy hooded eyes. He saw every twitch, every shiver, every squirm, and he knew when your body couldn’t take anymore. He was still merciless with his strokes and thumb, but as you locked your pleading and tearing eyes with him once more, his firm set expression softened and his voice was coaxing you.
“Come. Come for me my baby Bunny.”
Your jaw went slack and a silent scream tore from your throat as you let the bubbling sensation of your orgasm burst through your abdomen, feeling the tendrils of pleasure wash over your body in crashing waves. Your hands shot up to wrap around the back of Jake’s head and pull tightly on the smaller hairs at the base of his neck. Your body withered and your chest was heaving, panting furiously as the sensation rolled over your body repeatedly. You faintly heard a string of praise from them both, Jake’s low voice still hot in your ear. Bob’s praise turned to grunts and with two more forceful thrusts, you could feel him leak his spend inside of you.
His ministrations slowed and as your head lolled to the side of Jake’s shoulder, you still let out a quiet and needy whine again, feeling so empty and feeling the now double mix of cum leaking from your abused cunt.
Your head felt full of cotton. You reached out with shaky hands to your lover. “Bobby…” You breathed out, barely above a whisper. He leaned down and took your shaking frame from Jake’s slick chest. He pressed you close to his own and with Jake’s help, he moved you to lay limp against him with his broad arms encasing you tightly. Jake stayed next to you both and let his fingers trail tenderly over your damp back.
All three of your chests were steadying out with calculated breaths, as you all came down from your highs. Tender and loving kisses were placed on your skin from them both, and more hushed words of love and praise were whispered close to your ears.
When your energy eventually came back, Bob cleaned you up gently with Jake’s help. The remainder of the leftovers from your prior dinner were fed to you and you gulped down more glasses of water than you could count. The duvet cover was changed and with your head still feeling full of soft cotton, and your body swimming with the afterglow, your two pilots lay down to sleep with you.
Before the peaceful waves of sleep pulled you under, you remember watching how lovingly Jake cradled Bob’s jaw and placed a kiss on his lips. The next thing you felt was his tender fingers bringing your jaw up to place his lips on yours. Your cheek then felt another pair of lips and you turned your face to find Bobby’s.
You kissed them both a handful more times. Each time your heart pounded a little faster and you felt the thousand butterflies flutter through your stomach.
Maybe this could work.
Maybe, this could be a forever thing.
Jake stayed on Sunday till around three in the afternoon. You all woke up late and lazily gathered yourselves to share a warm, yet deeply refreshing, shower.
You spent the rest of your time in the kitchen, just talking and eating. You spoke about everything and anything. You talked about the prior night, you talked about aircraft manoeuvres that had gone wrong, and you asked Jake about his home and where he grew up. Occasionally you found yourself pressed into Jake’s side with one of his broad arms incasing you close to his chest, as you both watched Bob cook up the food. Jake insisted that he would make you both a homemade recipe his Ma taught him some time.
All three of you exchanged fluttering touches and loving kisses with each other, and Jake found something blooming deep within his chest. He felt safe within this peaceful and domesticated home. He didn’t want to leave.
Come the evening on the Sunday, you were curled in between Bob’s thighs as you both read in peaceful silence.
“I really like him, you know.”
You spoke out into the silence. There was a beat before you felt Bob’s chest take a deep breath and then exhale. You glanced up at him and he wore a soft smile as he placed a tender kiss on your forehead.
“Yeah. Me too, Bunny. Me too.”
Tumblr media
A chorus of loud cheers and hollers broke out and echoed across the locker room on Monday. Javy slapped Jake on his bare back, making note of the marks scratched down his flesh.
“Jake! Now who’s been fighting with a bear?”
Bob continued to look forward at his locker as he gathered up the remainder of his belongings, paying no note to the commotion he heard behind him.
Jake huffed out a laugh and flashed his signature smile to Javy, acting as if nothing was out of the ordinary.
“Yeah, something like that.”
Bob smiled to himself at hearing Jake’s words. The images of Saturday evening and his wife scratching their nails down his back were flashing evidently behind his eyes. Once he heard the others trail off to the showers, he turned around to face him. It was only them left in the locker room and he leaned back against his locker, watching Jake pull his jacket on and reach for his bag.
“We’re really lookin’ forward to having you round for dinner tomorrow night.”
Jake’s head perked up at Bob’s words, his signature smile still etched over his face.
“Yeah, me too, Floyd.”
Jake placed his hand on Bob’s shoulder to move past him and leave the locker room, but before he took another step further, he lingered for a moment longer. Jake’s lips brushed up against the shell of Bob’s ear and in a low and flirtatious drawl, he whispered, “Bye, Baby.”
And he left.
Jake didn’t look back and see how Bob was biting down frightfully hard on his bottom lip to hold back the beaming and lovesick smile he was currently adorning. He didn’t see how Bob’s cheeks flushed a rosy pink colour in seconds. All he saw ahead of him was a future of tender love with you and Bob.

Yandere!Hockey player x F!Figure skater
A Ice Hockey player takes a interest in the new girl, he’s determined to prove he’s not some lowlife-stereotypical popular kid but rather a man who can protect you and begins to set you up to be in a relationship with him. This ones a pretty subtle yandere.
Tumblr media
You recently moved to a new town with your family and being a figure skater you had to not only find a new school but also a new ice rink to practice. Although your school seemed to have a pretty big hockey team that also used this rink so you had to work around them, this meant sometimes leaving school early for these lessons before the school team showed up or coming in late as they were leaving.
Today however you were particularly early leaving you to sit on the bench waiting for the hockey team to pack it in, you distracted yourself with with your phone or a book but you seemed to also be distracting one of the players in particular. He knew you from some of his classes but you never acknowledged each other, mostly because he was apart of the annoyingly loud and popular boys, and he along with his friends know for throwing parties and dating around- they didn’t even bother to pretend to take school seriously it was just a place to hang out and poke fun at people.
You however were comfortable with the small but friendly group you’d been accepted into when you joined the new school, you avoided drama and most parties -preferring to be ice skating or hanging out with your friends. So he was a bit confused why you seemed to be capturing his attention so much, you were quite the opposite of his ex-girlfriends. “What’s wrong with you!? Get your head in the game!” He was snapped back into reality by being told off by his coach, he huffed in response and his eyes darted back to you before joining the game again. You had glanced up to see the commotion and briefly locked eyes with him before going back to what you was doing.
“Someone’s in love” his friend teased coming up behind him only to be shoved back in response “piss off” he grumbled. He kept his eyes on the puck the whole game not trusting himself to look up again, and before he knew it his coach was calling it a day. “Come one let’s go can’t keep buddy’s girlfriend waiting can we now?” his friend once again picking the bear figuratively and literally, it took all his strength to not shove him once again, in fact he didn’t even respond just turned his back and made his way off the rink followed by the team.
He was disappointed in himself, letting a girl come between him and his team until he looked over at you once more as he left for the lockers, you were lacing your skates obviously a bit annoyed at the comments from the boys poking fun at you and him, but damn were you pretty even when you were angry.
You darted out on the ice once the team was gone and made a mental note to come way later so you don’t bump into them again, because god that was awkward. You had the ice to yourself as it was late and you only really trained with your coach on weekends unless you chose to compete, so you stuck your earphones in and went through routines and tricks you’d like to brush up on.
20 minutes had gone by and when you looked up you saw the hockey player standing sheepishly by the shirt wall dividing the rink from the bleachers, you took a earphone out to question him but between you catching your breath and taking it out he had already started to explain “I literally just came in here I swear I’m not a creep... I just wanted to say sorry” he started, you was about to tell him it’s okay so he’d leave but he cut you off again “you’re in my science class right?”
“Yeah and a few others” you sighed to yourself realising it won’t be so easy to get him to leave “oh sorry I don’t really pay attention to much it’s nothing personal. But really they can be asses but they don’t mean harm, maybe I can make it up to you though?” He had a certain charm for such a seemingly tough guy and admittedly very hot, but you didn’t know him aside from the loud jokes he made, him and his friends rough shoving each other into lockers in the hallways, or the rumours of what girl he was hooking up with during a party.
“I don’t know, it fine really we can just leave it at that” you wasn’t sure you wanted to hang around a guy like that, but then again you never saw him pick on people, or continue provoking after a teacher tells him off, he wasn’t as crude as other popular people you’ve come across. Maybe he wasn’t so bad. “Please just umm, do you walk back home? It’s getting dark and I can drive you” he seemed so desperate to make it right, it seemed so out of character especially over something so small.
“I’m gonna be here for another 20 minutes at least, and I’m not getting in your car, I don’t know what you’re like” you said bluntly making hhis eyes widen in realisation “oh right you no that makes sense, okay I get it I’ll get outta your hair but I promise I’ll make it up to you” god did he feel stupid, offering a girl, that he could very well overpower, to join him in his car. ‘Now she probably thinks I’m some lowlife like the rest of them’ he though to himself as he got into his car.
The whole way home he brainstormed some ways to get closer to you, he could pass up this opportunity.
...
“Hey there you are!” Like a relentless puppy he jogged to catch up to you in the hallway “Hi, you’re really hard to find, I mean there is a couple hundred people in this school” you stared at him confused “right um can we maybe hang out for a bit, maybe we can eat lunch together” he could see that you were going to try gently decline “-BECAUSE, I really need your help with” he took a deep breath trying to come up with something “History, yeah history, please it would be a great help”
“fine I guess” you suppose one hour with him can’t go to bad, just let him copy your notes and eat your lunch. However you both spent most of the hour talking, he showed you pictures of his dog thinking it would loosen you up and encouraged you to talk about yourself, eventually you stopped trying to shift the topic back to history and talked to him like he was a friend.
“I’ll see you at the rink?” He smiled back at you, hopefully, he was falling deeper and deeper for you “maybe I will” you blushed a bit packing your bag faster to make it to class. “Good” he said more to himself before leaving.
...
Every now and then he would check the bleachers, hoping to see you, until he did, you gave him a smile as you sat and he waved back, you couldn’t see it under the mask but his smile could very well have reached his ears. He hung back once again, once his team cleared out you joined him on the ice “nice of you to join me, starting to wonder if you would show up at all” he joked.
He spent this time trying to get closer to you once again, he begged you to show him tricks, some he attempted half-assed to get a laugh out of you, then you both raced from one end to the other after some provoking on his part, and after a long talk he asked once again “can I maybe drive you home today?” He hopefully looked to you, you gave it a long thought “I guess so, only if you don’t mind waiting around a while longer for me to actually get some practice in” you gave into him.
He grinned hard “that’s alright with me, I’ll be back in a bit take all the time you need” he took off to the changing room, you trust him more than you did just a few days ago, you talk to him and not so begrudgingly anymore, hell you even entertained him messing around with you for over half an hour. This was significant progress to him.
He rushed to sit back on the bleachers and watch you skate for a bit. He couldn’t stop thinking if this is what it’s like to be so truly in-love, is this what they mean by love at first sight. Every conversation with you made him more sure and sure you were so much more than any of the past girls he’s messed around with even the most serious of relationships would never come close to how he felt with you.
But he’s getting ahead of himself- ‘baby steps’ he had to remind himself, he’s not going to ruin this. He walked you to his car and opened the door for you, this was the start of something. He’s driving you to your house today but soon it will be his house to hang out then hangouts will become sleepovers and sleepovers will become... well he’ll pass that stage when he gets there. For now he’ll treasure the beginning of a long loving life together, he’s sure of it.

i can do it with a broken heart | laura freigang
Tumblr media
warnings: angst with no happy ending
word count: 831
summary: you're determined to fake it 'til you make it, even with a broken heart. also known as your the reader's perspective of down bad
a/n: the third installation of my 'the anthology' blurbs series
Tumblr media
you can feel laura’s gaze on you, from across the locker room.
a few short weeks ago, you would have blushed and teasingly told her that it’s rude to stare.
now, it makes your heart clench so you plaster a large smile on your face and turn to look at tanja, starting an intentionally cheerful conversation.
it is impossibly hard for you to ignore the blonde, especially when her eyes are on you again, this time in the club as you and your teammates celebrate the club’s win.
in stilettos, you have a drink in hand, a pretty sequined dress on and your makeup is done to perfection.
she’s sitting alone, at a table by the side of the bar and you can practically read her mind. you know her well enough for that.
‘she’s having the time of her life.’
well you can show her lies.
you can show up to trainings on time. you can attend every team bonding with a bright expression. you can do it all. even if it’s killing you inside.
because you’re a real tough kid. you can handle your shit.
after all they say you gotta fake it ‘til you make it. and you will.
so the one thing on your mind, repeating over and over as you push through each and every day is ‘lights, camera, bitch smile.’
even when you wanna die, you will do it.
your ex said she would love you all her life.
you believed her. you still do because you see the dark circles she has. she’s clearly devastated and barely holding herself together.
and you know it is all your fault for breaking up with her.
but you had to. had to because you love her so much. you trust her excessively and before you fall any harder for her, you needed to stop yourself.
it would have hurt too much when you landed and you know that if you allowed laura to love you the way she wanted any longer, there would be no coming back from that kind of pain.
so for your own sake, you had to leave her. even though it gives you overwhelming guilt to break her heart.
but you can grin like you’re winning and you can hit all your marks.
you’re playing better than ever because you know you are good. you know you’re good because you can do it, even with a broken heart.
you cry a lot now that you have left the striker but you are still so productive that one could consider it an art.
really, it’s only through the extensive uses of subtle makeup, face masks, cooling eye packs and the odd frozen metal teaspoon that no one has noticed it yet.
most of your relationship with laura was spent staying over in her apartment but there were nights that were spent in yours.
more than a few if the way you keep finding her things in your drawers is anything to go by.
first it was a old penn state sweatshirt. the next, one of her retro frankfurt jerseys.
now it’s her favourite pair of jeans.
you choke on your tears when you find it among your own clothes.
she’d worn them to your first date.
laura might keep looking at you but she avoids you like the plague otherwise. she doesn’t want to walk near your cubby in the locker room or be in the same training group as you.
she must hate you and you can’t blame her.
it is part of the reason why you cannot bear to return any of her things to her. they are the last tangible memories you have left of her, crucial evidence that for a brief time, you had the love of your life.
you feel like you’re drowning in your grief now but you can hold your breath.
because you’re a real tough kid. you can handle your shit. there is no reason to drag the german woman back into it, if she would even deign to give you the time of day.
so breaking down, you’ll hit the floor. all the pieces of you shattering as the fans chant, ‘more!’.
you might be depressed and you might be struggling but you will be damned if you’re not doing your best.
you will show up at trainings and team bondings on time, with a happy grin fixed on your face. you will only post the most positive and staged content on your social medias and you will not let any of your teammates or most importantly laura herself, see just how not okay you are.
‘lights, camera, bitch smile.’ you think once again.
even when you wanna die, you’re doing good. you know you’re good because you’re miserable and nobody even knows.
you swore that you would fake it ‘til you make it and you’re doing it.
it’s your new job and you are not going to let anyone try to come for it.

Could you maybe try high school Fem!Scaramouche hc with a huge crush on us but being super reluctant and shy about it?? :3
OKAY. I HAVE NEVER WRITTEN FOR SCARA OKAY PLEASE BEAR WITH ME 😭 also dude ure my first request thank u so much <3
so I didn’t know how to write this but THERE WAS AN ATTEMPT. Anyways basically I’m gonna write a bunch of headcanons then some scenarios under that
Please I’m so sorry if I mischaracterized him I really tried I SWEAE 😭😭😭
This is not proofread btw
WARNINGS: none, it’s all fluff :3
Fem!Scaramouche Headcanons:
HEADCANONS:
Fem!Scara would seem like extremely pissed off to everyone, but she would do small tasks for you that she never does with anyone else
Fem!Scara would do her best to not make it obvious that she likes you. (Even if that means accidentally hurting you with her snarky remarks)
Fem!Scara would be more quiet around you. She doesn’t become as arrogant or stubborn around you, well she would be but just not as much since she cares for you
Fem!Scara ime personally, I don’t think she would be much on physical touch, but if you hugged her she would pay your back and put her chin on your shoulder
Fem!Scara enjoys seeing you be passionate about things. She would listen all day to you and keep eye contact.
Fem!Scara would be very well at hiding when she’s flustered. Like if you’re play flirting with her, she would just end it like “…? What do you expect me to say to that?” When in reality, she’s really giddy inside
Fem!Scara would choose to sit beside you during field trips, or if you go to school via school bus. She says it’s just a coincidence (for field trips) but in reality, she really made it so you Teo sat together
Confession time:
Fem!Scara would be really pleased if you confessed to her first. She wouldn’t say yes immediately, (like instead of going “yes yes!!” She would be in disbelief)
Fem!Scara if she were to confess, she would spend a lot of time thinking how she would do it. She would worry if you said no and I feel like she would spend a week bringing herself down saying you’d never say yes and it’s a waste of time (no it’s not)
Scara enters the school earlier than usual to look for your locker. She had decided to just send a letter. Scara finds it and rereads his letter (for the 100th time today…)
“Dear y/n,
Before I say anything, if you were to say no that’s completely fine. I understand I am not the best, but the truth is, these past few months, I’ve started to develop feelings for you. I just didn’t say or do anything about it well..since I didn’t really want you to know or anyone really. I really really like you, but understand if you would just want to stay friends. Thank you for hearing me out.
-Scara”
SHe hesitantly folds it up again, leaving a candy you really like taped to it as he slips it in the gap of your locker. SHe can barely calm himself down but he goes back to the classroom.
As she sees you, she stiffens up, but tries to remain the same.
“Did she read it?”
“Has she even seen it?”
“Maybe I didn’t write long enough?”
“Ah damn it I barely wrote anything!”
She stares at her lap, not daring to look up. As suddenly when you tap hee table, you mention the letter.
“I saw what you left..”
She immediately PANICS clutching her skirt getting ready for a no. She just laughs it off as if it were nothing to hide that she’s actually a mess inside.
“Haha, well what d’you think?”
She tries to act cocky and stuff. But as you come to terms and conditions (when u say yes) she looks at you in disbelief.
“….is this a joke? Are you lying?”
As you say no it’s not a joke, she then stands up and taps your hand.
“Thank you…”
WOWWOWOWOOWOWOW THIS WAS NOT PROOFREAD AT ALL AHHAHAHAH. Anyways uhhh if anyone else wants to request smth, go ahead. School just ended so I have nothing to do for the next few months. Once again, my bad if I accidentally mischaracterized her. I really tried ok. ANYWAYS THANK U, U DONT KNOW HOW HAPPY I AM THAT SOMEONE ACTUALLY REQUESTES SMTH FROM ME LIKE I KID U NOT I GOT REALLT HAPPY AT LIKE 6 AM😭😭😭 anyways thank u again omg I hope this was ok 😭😭

Fall into temptation
Tumblr media
"We are two souls dancing on the edge of temptation, captivated by the forbidden while struggling with the longing for what we cannot have."
Christian struggled deeply to process the fact that he was yearning for someone... someone who wasn't the person he was supposed to share his life with. It was intense, it was passionate, and Christian couldn't bear it; he succumbed to that yearning and temptation.
Two teams were staying at the hotel, Mercedes and Red Bull had decided to share for some reason, but there was no issue with that.
It was Friday, free practice day, so there would also be a press conference with the Team Principals. Christian was obviously one of them, so after resting a bit at the hotel, he had to return to the paddock. He left his room and headed to the elevator, pressed the button for the first floor, and began descending.
It stopped on a floor, and when the doors opened, he saw him: Toto, wearing glasses, looking to the side, waiting for the doors to open.
Christian watched him approach, he smiled. They greeted each other with a cordial handshake; lately, they had been getting along better, their fractured relationship seemed to be healing with time.
"Toto," said Christian.
"Christian," replied Toto.
And then, what are the odds that an elevator breaks down? Right in the middle of a Grand Prix, on a Friday of free practices, and that two men who have a rivalry and a broken past are trapped there...
It happened.
They were descending, having a trivial conversation.
"Everything seems to be going well with your team, right?" said Christian.
"Yes, we've improved, although there's still a long way to go. Don't worry, we won't be fighting for any championships... yet," replied Toto.
"I don't really have that fear," said Christian.
Suddenly, a sound emerged, the elevator stopped.
"Damn..." said Toto. "This can't be happening..."
"No... don't tell me," said Christian.
Toto then pressed the buttons to see if they would open, but the safety system didn't allow him to do anything.
"Well, it seems we're stuck... damn," mentioned Toto, checking. "I think the system sends a message to the hotel... or I hope so."
"No... oh no," said Christian, starting to feel anxious.
Then his heart started pounding hard, his breath became shallow, he looked around and felt like the place was closing in.
"Christian," said Toto when he saw him descending and curling up."
"Oh no, no, no," he repeated, feeling afraid. Unpleasant memories flooded his mind, memories he hadn't had in a long time.
School, when they locked him in the bathroom as a "joke," when he was punished by his teachers for something that wasn't his fault.
When they shoved him into a locker and locked him in, and he didn't feel capable of defending himself... all of that he had forgotten.
"Christian..." a deep voice sounded, pulling him out of his trance.
"Hey... hey... breathe," said Toto, placing his hand on his cheek, gently caressing, providing comfort. "Okay, okay, control your mind... we're okay, right? They'll come to get us... calm down."
"But, but... what if something happens to us... what if someone did this? What if it's a joke?" said Christian, stuttering.
"Come on... it's just a mechanical failure, don't overthink... relax," said Toto.
"No, but... no," his breathing became erratic, he was crying and trembling.
When Toto took his hands, Christian looked up at him, trembling with shallow breaths.
"You know... I'm scared of cats," said Toto. Christian's eyes widened in surprise.
"Oh..." said Christian, surprised, trembling subsiding slightly but feeling more calm.
"Well, when I was little... I was visiting one of my aunt's houses, they had cats there, so I petted one... and it jumped on my face... and I never carried a cat again," said Toto, and Christian smiled.
"Don't make me laugh," said Christian.
"I love making you laugh," said Toto with a smile. Christian smiled softly.
---
They started talking later on, realizing that despite knowing each other for a long time, they had never shared details.
"It seems like we're close, but at the same time not..." said Christian.
"Well, it's not like you invited me to your wedding..." said Toto.
"It's not like I'm in your things..." replied Christian.
There was a brief silence until Toto broke it again. "In Qatar... in 2021... when you said 'There is no Relationship,' were you referring to the personal one?"
They looked at each other for a moment, then Christian reflected on the magnitude of his words back then, the nature of... their connection. He had never really thought about what he meant exactly; he just remembered being quite upset and tense at that press conference and blurted it out. He hadn't even connected the fact that Toto's name kept coming up in interviews... Christian attributed it to the fact that before Red Bull regained dominance, it was Toto and Mercedes who dominated, like a King and his predecessor. It was only today that he connected those questions to that declaration.
"Hey, I... I tend to say hurtful things sometimes, especially when I'm upset... maybe I overdo it a bit. And answering your question, I'm not sure which of the two relationships I was referring to... if they are different," Christian said, feeling somewhat embarrassed.
"Well... I can't judge you; we all do things in anger... me and certain headphones, for example," Toto replied, without any reproach, relaxed with a friendly smile, making Christian laugh... again.
Christian sighed and looked down at his signet ring. "But I hurt people... when I say things, I'm hurtful, and there's a part of me that activates when I'm so... furious that I can hit that point that hurts... sometimes I'm aware that I do it, and other times, I guess I'm not."
"Well, I scare people when I'm upset, tend to... intimidate, so I guess we both trigger a reaction in people," he said, making them laugh again. "We're similar after all," Toto added.
"I suppose, if you put it that way," replied Christian. "But I... I think I have layers, maybe it's a defense mechanism, I don't know, but I struggle to reach my emotional side... whereas you handle it quite well," he said, shrinking a bit.
"Well, I was in therapy for years in my youth... although that didn't exempt me from suffering from everything that happened in 2021, even though I denied it, Susie told me she could see it in me for the last two years," Toto said. "But that's life, you rise and fall, the thing is, you don't know when, how, and much less how you're going to get back up."
"I'm sorry to hear that, I didn't know you were struggling... I... I had heard about the therapy," Christian said.
"Well, you were busy winning, and I don't think you cared about how I was... and well, yes, I lost my father at a young age, had to take care of my family, be an adult, in the bank, I put into practice what I learned in business school, and my superiors taught me some tricks," Toto said, then added, "Another dream opened up, becoming an investor, but my dream in motorsport never went away... I know I wasn't a racer since childhood like many, and my career as a driver didn't continue, but... I never gave up," he said, looking at his hands, playing with the wedding ring. "It's not like everyone says... that I'm just 'a banker'... I just couldn't continue with my career."
"Toto... I never meant that in the past... I also had to refocus my career," said Christian, apologizing and feeling nervous again.
"No, Christian... it's not a complaint, calm down," said Toto. "Hey... calm down... I... I didn't say it as a complaint," he repeated.
Christian, feeling a bit anxious again, said, "But see? I hurt people... I don't even know why I have people who care about me..."
"Because you possess tenderness..." Toto responded without thinking, because Christian produces that in him.
"Tenderness? But I..."
Toto interrupted him, "That's how I perceive you... how I feel you."
"But... what about the things I've said... I..."
"Well, that doesn't change the fact that I see you as tender... and grumpy... but tender. The virtues we possess tend to weigh more than we imagine. You can sense that in yourself, but you are... tender, you possess love, you love, and you are kind, and that... that weighs more," Toto said, looking at him.
Christian then averts eye contact, feeling quite flushed, so he tries to respond to the compliment. "You... you... can also... be... tender," he stutters.
Then Toto laughs, "Don't force yourself to say anything, it's not mandatory."
"I mean it... really," Christian says with a sigh.
Both smile. It's been a while since they spent time... peacefully. In their minds, the wounds were in the background. "Maybe it produces something more than tenderness..." said Christian, breaking the silence.
Toto raised an eyebrow, "Oh yeah? What else then?"
Christian feels his cheeks are probably red, "I think you know what I mean."
"Who knows... it could be anything," Toto says with a change in his gaze, his voice resonating in the confined elevator.
Slowly, Christian pauses, allowing tension to build in the enclosed air of the elevator. Christian smiles again, his gaze quickly scanning Toto's face, down from his eyes to his mouth... to his snug-fitting Mercedes shirt.
"Well, perhaps you're also..." his voice trails off slightly, leaving the sentence hanging in the charged atmosphere.
Toto leans a bit closer to Christian, keeping his gaze fixed on him. A playful smile forms on his lips as he plays with the hem of his jacket.
"Also... what, Christian?" whispers Toto, with a soft tone but full of implications.
Christian's heartbeats quicken. A mix of excitement and nervousness dances within him as he decides how to continue. His lips curve into a tempting smile, a gesture that reveals a hint of confidence.
"Well, perhaps you're also... intriguing. It's not common to find someone so challenging and, at the same time, so captivating," Christian responds, because he's not going to admit that Toto Wolff seems naturally sexy to him and that somehow he understands why people ask for photos, make videos... no, he's not going to admit it because it would be weird being both men, also because of his own ego, and certainly not in front of Toto.
The atmosphere between them becomes more intense. The elevator seems to have become their own world, isolating them from the rest of the universe. Toto leans in a little closer, his breath almost brushing against Christian's cheek, creating an electrifying sensation.
"Intriguing, huh? I guess that's better than being simply predictable," murmurs Toto, with a hint of amusement in his voice, allowing a brief pause, letting the tension expand between them.
The elevator jolts slightly as it begins to resume its function. The moment is abruptly interrupted as the doors open, revealing those who have come to rescue them.
The glance between Christian and Toto is fleeting but meaningful. There's a shared complicity, a tacit understanding, as both prepare to leave the confines of the elevator and return to the reality of the Grand Prix, carrying with them the tension and whisper of something more than tenderness in the air.
---
It seems that after some time, things had gone back to normal; the Grand Prix proceeded as usual. Although Christian, afraid of experiencing that incident again, limited himself to using the stairs.
He hadn't seen Toto.
Or at least hadn't bumped into him for a chat. If they crossed paths, they exchanged smiles, but something seemed to have changed, and Christian knew it. Toto's gaze felt so... enchanting; it was as if time froze when he did that.
And yet, Christian couldn't shake that conversation from his mind and the shift in tone. Getting to know more beyond the intimidating Toto Wolff was undoubtedly interesting. It's different to hear his words on a podcast than to have him tell you himself.
Maybe, just maybe, Christian is now eating his own words. Everything he said in anger has changed thanks to that conversation that lingered in the air... What would have happened if they had taken a little longer to rescue them?
Toto was so close at that moment, whispering so closely that Christian understood why the man made anyone nervous.
Christian closed his eyes, sighing as he recalled Toto's voice so close... "because you possess tenderness." He remembered his gaze, his smile so near. Christian suddenly opened his eyes.
"What's happening to me?" He whispered to himself.
On the other hand, Toto also felt a different current; Christian's words resonated within him. "Intriguing... captivating..." It felt like he had been given a great compliment, the best of all.
Sure, maybe it fed his ego, his rival making such compliments... but he hadn't stayed behind... calling him tender.
But if Toto were truly honest, Christian always seemed like a small thing to him, ever since he first met him.
He knows the character Christian possesses; it's not easy, he's an untamable man, and Toto loves that. Maybe that explains the roughness of their rivalry, perhaps that explains why they are like magnets, they drift apart and come back together. They may be separated by a wall, but they know exactly where the other is.
Even if it's subconscious, Toto knows it, and Christian knows it too.
Discovering that soft emotional side of Christian was new for Toto, but it wouldn't overwhelm him. What he experienced when he was young undoubtedly explained who the current Christian was, but it also explained where his tenderness came from. He tends to be gentle when the camera isn't around, he smiles sweetly when he sees you, if he hugs you, he ensures you feel loved...
These are little things that sometimes make Toto forget that his rival can be ruthless at times.
Now, with a restored relationship, or the beginning of one, Toto feels that need to want to make Christian nervous, to bring out that vulnerable side of him, and not in a bad way... he simply wants to provoke reactions from him.
Christian had never really noticed physical aspects, but internally, he could recognize when someone is... attractive. In Toto's case, he won't admit it to him, but he always knew he had something that attracted everyone, but Christian always played it down.
But lately... he couldn't help but look at Toto differently. If a photo appeared on his social media, if he saw him from afar in the paddock, he could appreciate the taller man's body, his broad back, his arms, his slim abdomen, the movement of his waist as he walked. Christian could say he was mesmerized when he spotted him from a distance.
He also took advantage of appreciating his features more when they spoke recently, when the atmosphere changed.
"So, alongside this, I have the horse riding championship shortly after," mentioned Christian as he took a sip of his drink.
They had decided to meet and talk in the Red Bull hospitality. Although they usually took turns, sometimes Christian would appear in the Mercedes one.
They had simple conversations about races, results... some accidents. They hadn't talked much about what they discussed in the elevator.
More than a joke with a flirty wink, and they knew it, by the way Toto smiled, a smile that, for Christian, wasn't just friendly...
"Wow, I knew about your passion for equines, I saw it on Drive To Survive once, but I'm surprised by how much you like it," said Toto.
"Well, let's say it's the equivalent of what you like in finances... perhaps?" replied Christian.
"Okay, so I'm a banker and you're a rider," joked Toto.
Both laughed.
"Well, yeah," said Christian. "In theory, although I'm a rider as a hobby, not for competition... I even wear a helmet."
"So, have you ridden just for leisure, or have you ridden for races or something?" Toto asked, interested.
"Truthfully, I'm a bit afraid to try that. I think my paranoia kicks in," he said, looking at his drink.
"Either way... you enjoy riding," Toto emphasized at the end, and Christian looked up, understanding to some extent the dual line his rival had sent.
"Yes, I do enjoy it," he replied, feigning innocence. "Should I teach you?"
"Do you want to teach me?" Toto's tone changed, echoing the elevator's tone.
"Maybe, if you're not stubborn and dramatic," said Christian, briefly looking at Toto's lips before meeting his gaze.
"I'll be patient when it comes to learning... although when nothing is learned, punishment is due," Toto said in a tone that sent shivers down Christian's spine.
"What would you do?" Christian subtly bit his lip.
"I'd give you a proper punishment if you don't teach me well," he whispered in his ear.
They both laughed, although Christian felt a blush creeping onto his cheeks. After exchanging another glance, Christian cleared his throat and said, "But... but... if you really want to, I could invite you to my farm... someday," trying to change the subject.
"Christian Horner inviting Toto Wolff to his farm... wow," Toto said with irony.
They laughed again.
"Well, yes, things change, don't they?" said Christian.
"Yeah, I suppose they do, and Christian... it would be a pleasure if you invited me," he said, smiling.
When it came time to end their conversation, Christian locked himself in his office, closed his eyes, and let out a long sigh... God... what was happening with Toto?
The way they had joked around didn't sit right... or maybe Christian was overthinking the banter between them.
On the other hand, Toto, while in his garage, looking at some adjustments for the car, couldn't help but smile when he remembered Christian's reaction... When did they take the conversation so far? Well, Toto knows exactly when, and worst of all... he had enjoyed doing it and wanted to do it more.
Toto hadn't stopped to consider the dynamics of their banter; he just knew he liked it and wanted to do it... for a while, he thought it might be a form of intimidation from himself toward Christian, which made him feel bad. But looking at it in a better light, Christian played along, not intimidated, but rather facing it head-on, and an atmosphere emerged between them.
On the other hand, lately, Toto also looked at Christian differently... Susie has always told Toto that he speaks with his eyes, that he's capable of expressing many things. Toto doesn't really know if this is entirely true, but the way he looks at Christian seems to stir something in the younger man, and the more aware Toto becomes of this, the more fascinating it is to him.
So, when Toto observes Christian, he pays attention to many things: his blue eyes, how his pupils dilate slightly when he talks about something interesting or when he sees something that captivates him, his hair that's gradually showing silver streaks due to age, forming curls as it grows, his lips, one slightly thicker than the other...
He's noticed small habits that his rival does when he gets nervous, like touching his signet ring and playing with it. It's normal, considering it's a way to calm down and handle a situation. Toto knows this isn't something Christian only does in his presence; he does it during interviews, during conferences.
Small things that, before, Toto might have overlooked, but now were very present.
Yet, there was a question lingering in Toto's mind: Was it okay to do this? Was it right to continue provoking his rival in this manner? And even more, was it okay to enjoy it so much?
Christian was having similar thoughts; Toto had been on his mind lately. He liked that their relationship was strengthening after the dramatic 2021, that after two years, some things were healing. Geri once told Christian that they needed to mend their relationship and apologize to each other. Although Christian thought that someday the moment would come, he didn't imagine it would be when they were trapped in an elevator and their conversation delved into the depths of their feelings.
"Christian doesn't know if he wants to step back so that doesn't happen or to prolong the time they were trapped in the elevator."
---
"You know, I feel like in the elevator, you didn't want to say 'Intriguing and captivating,'" Toto said as they walked through the Monza circuit. They had decided to take a reconnaissance stroll together.
"Well, I did mean that," said Christian, feeling a hint of nervousness. "What do you think I meant?"
"I don't know, other words... or just one," Toto replied.
They stopped; it was beginning to sunset, and the golden hour was emerging.
"Well, two are better than one," Christian said, looking at the sky and returning his gaze.
Toto approached, leaned in to whisper, "Or a single word summarizes it better."
Christian's breath caught in that moment; having Toto so close heightened his nerves.
"It seems like you're not satisfied... I don't know what you want me to say," Christian challenged, their faces so close.
Toto moistened his lips under Christian's gaze.
"If I say it, it would be very narcissistic, but I know you wanted to say it..." he responded, and they could feel each other's breath so close.
"Christian looked at Toto's lips, this time shamelessly for a longer period than he had stopped to look before, then he lifted his gaze again.
"You'll have to force me to say it," he challenged.
Toto smiled. "I can give it a try then..."
And just as Toto unconsciously was about to close the gap between them, and Christian was prepared for it, someone spoke in the background, from a faraway distance.
Both snapped out of their bubble, remembering where they were, the place they were in, and the possibility of other people around. Toto discreetly distanced himself a bit, glancing to see who was approaching in the distance.
"Christian!" one of the engineers arrived. "Toto," he greeted, then continued, "Boss, there are some things to review about the engine, we came to get you."
Christian glanced around; there were other guys there. His heart raced at the mere thought that they might have seen something.
"Alright, then let's go," Christian finally said. "Toto... are you coming back or carrying on?" he asked.
"I think I'll... continue a bit more and then return," Toto said.
"Okay... see you later, Toto," he said, bidding farewell.
"See you..." Toto said softly.
Their paths diverged there, both overwhelmed, analyzing what had just happened, what they had almost done.
"Christian feared that the guys might have seen something; he had become so immersed in the conversation that he had forgotten where he was.
"Damn, damn... what's happening to us! This isn't right... it's incorrect!" he thought. "Why am I doing this then? Why do I follow the temptation and provoke it?"
Christian closed his eyes and let out a deep sigh as he walked.
Meanwhile, Toto, taking a different path, looked at the sunset, feeling a shiver at the thought of what had just happened.
"This isn't right," he thought, but at the same time, he said, "Why does it feel good then?... It shouldn't feel this way."
---
There hadn't been fantasies; Toto lingering in Christian's mind hadn't caused anything more until a few days ago.
It was a dream... the same place, no one was looking for them, no interruptions; he had it days after the Monza Grand Prix.
Just Toto approaching, softly biting his lips, then merging into a kiss, holding him by the waist.
That's when Christian woke up, his partner sleeping beside him. He looked at them, then couldn't help but feel remorse.
And that's when, for the next Grand Prix, he finally decided to put an end to these games; they couldn't continue like this, it would ruin their friendship again.
They met again, subtle smiles continued, but the decision Christian had made was very present.
"We need to talk," Christian said softly.
"Aren't we already talking?" Toto replied.
"I mean about Monza," he continued. "This... isn't right, Toto. We can't do this..."
"You mean the jokes?" Toto asked. "We can stop if it bothers you."
And something in Christian shattered. Had he misunderstood everything with Toto?
"I... yes, it bothers me," he finally said. "I didn't know you joked like that with your friends."
"What?" Toto said, surprised by Christian's reaction.
"You know, making those kinds of jokes with your friends, it's not right, Torger," he said, unable to avoid feeling upset.
"Christian... I, that's not how it is," Toto replied, taken aback by Christian's reaction.
"Whatever you say," he said, and after a pause, "If you'll excuse me, I must leave."
He stood up without waiting for a response, feeling upset. Did Toto joke like this all the time? Was the special feeling he had with him a farce? Was it all just a damn joke?
Toto felt strange, watching Christian walk away and enter his own hospitality area. He too had come to the conclusion that this situation needed to stop, but Christian's reaction to the thought that he joked like this with everyone... what he did with Christian wasn't jokes. Yet, Toto always liked putting words in people's mouths that would later anger them.
It happens often when he makes statements about Mercedes... Toto and his big mouth.
He was pulled out of his thoughts by Susie, who came to sit down, asking if everything was okay. He nodded, smiled at Susie, then looked at his hand, at his wedding ring, and his gaze returned to the Red Bull hospitality area.
----
They didn't meet again after that small argument or rather misunderstanding.
No messages, no calls, nothing, and the silence was affecting them in some way.
"Was I too harsh?" Christian thought while in Milton Keynes, looking at some papers. "No, he deserves it if he's joking like that with everyone," he thought, trying to dispel the temptation to reach out.
"Should I call him?" the Austrian thought while in Barckley; their companies coincidentally were 30 minutes apart. They could meet if they wanted.
"He'll probably send me to hell" he muttered, closing Christian's chat and turning off the phone beside him.
---
The cold shoulder faded when Toto decided to clear things up; he couldn't let Christian think he behaved that way with everyone.
So, he went to find him in his office at the Red Bull hospitality area, knocked on the door, and Christian opened it.
"Christian... we need to talk," Toto said.
"Tell me, is there an issue with the race or something?" Christian said, trying to sound professional, letting it slide.
"I'm not talking about the race..." Toto said. "I'm talking about... a few days ago..."
"I don't think we need to discuss that anymore," Christian said. "Everything was cleared up."
"It's not like that, Chris..." Toto let out a long sigh. "I don't joke like that with anyone... maybe using the term 'jokes' was wrong... I've never done this, not with anyone in the paddock... only with you because you..." Toto paused.
"Because I what?" Christian said, surprised.
"Because you..." the words couldn't come out, and he growled. "Because you're different, you're not just anyone I can do or say this to, you... you captivate me too, I like you, there's something about you that I'm drawn to, and that's why I behave this way."
Christian felt overwhelmed, he couldn't believe it... his heart was racing, his breath caught. "Toto... I..."
"Don't lie and say you don't feel the same," Toto said, approaching Christian.
"I... Toto, this... no..." he stammered, words failing him.
"You said I captivate you... isn't that right? You do the same to me... you seem damn sexy," Toto finally said, one of his hands on Christian's neck.
Christian's face turned red; he could feel when Toto leaned his forehead against his, their breaths mingling, and Christian felt like he was melting.
"You... you also seem... sexy, and that's what I wanted to say in the elevator that day," Christian whispered.
And that was enough for Toto to press him against a wall and then their lips met.
Finally, it happened—an intense tongue battle, Toto holding Christian's neck with his large hand as the shorter man placed his hands on the Austrian's abdomen. Soon, those hands traveled to Toto's neck, pulling him closer to deepen the kiss.
There was nothing else, just them. Toto moved both hands to Christian's hips; there were bites, licks.
Then Toto started planting kisses on Christian's neck, while the latter gasped at the sensation.
But this wouldn't last long; Christian came back to his senses in no time.
"Toto..." he whispered. "Toto, wait," he said, stopping him.
The older man halted and asked, "What's wrong?"
"We can't..." he murmured.
"But we did," Toto said, taking his hands.
"Even so, let's not do anything more... we could hurt people if we continue this... have you thought about it?" Christian said, feeling his eyes welling up.
"Yes... I've thought about it a lot," he said softly.
Christian cupped Toto's cheek and smiled gently. "We must stop..."
"Yes," he said. "I... I'll go."
Without further ado, Toto stepped away, and Christian sank to the floor of his office, his eyes covered...
In the end, he did it... he had his first lapse into temptation.
Meanwhile, Toto touched his lips; he could still feel Christian, but it pained him to have stopped, and it hurt even more to know that Christian was right... they could hurt people if they went further.
They had stopped talking for a while; weekends continued as usual, but they couldn't stop thinking about each other's lips.
Christian had dreamed a couple of times about that kiss, always waking up agitated and nervous. One day, he locked himself in the bathroom and cried. He didn't exactly know why—perhaps it was because he regretted having those dreams, or perhaps it was because he longed to have those lips not only in his dreams.
For his own sake, he chose to believe he cried out of regret rather than longing for him. In the paddock, he looked at him—no more smiles, no more glances. Every time Toto could connect their gazes, Christian would look away.
The urge to seek him out also affected him. Christian wanted to see him, talk to him, perhaps act normal, but they both knew they wouldn't act normal; the atmosphere would change, and they would be tempted again.
If someone asked Toto who fell first, it was him. He's always described himself as an emotional person, not someone who falls in love easily because even with Susie, it took him time. He spent years single before connecting with her.
But he didn't lie when he said that Christian captivated him. He always felt drawn to him, but not in the way he does now. When he met Christian, Toto wanted to get closer because he knew he could learn from him, and he did. They started their little game of rivalry, being different personalities but... now that they know each other more, Toto wants to learn more than just professional things. He wants to learn how Christian likes to be loved, how he likes to experience pleasure... how he likes to be cared for.
---
A long sigh escaped Toto as he pondered all this. Then, he glanced at his wedding ring, his eyes moistened. Like Christian, he didn't know whether it was because he regretted his feelings or because he longed to be with his rival.
---
The way they resumed talking was unexpected. Weekends passed as usual, the temptation to seek each other out remained, but they had found a way to live with that.
However, Christian had to admit he had been very emotional and vulnerable lately. Anything he read in comments about himself, his team, or his drivers hurt him considerably. He would explode in anger or become too saddened.
This time was different, though. A magazine had published a dreadful article discussing and rating people in the sport, only the most famous ones.
Of course, Christian was on that list, and so was Toto. Due to their teams' success, their names had become more recognized lately.
However, the article wasn't about their sporting achievements; it was about rating these individuals' beauty... and the comments invaded Christian's thoughts.
He read about Toto, well-rated as always, praised for his looks, his beautiful wife, and both being a powerful couple in the sport.
But with Christian? The comments were awful, discussing how his wife could have married someone else, how he wasn't in as good shape, that to be a successful team principal, he should take better care of himself... all so... silly.
Even though Christian usually didn't care about comments, he felt terrible, and anxiety invaded him again. In the room designated for resting near the Red Bull motorhome, Christian had hidden in bed. He didn't want to cry, but the tears were coming. He didn't want to go out to the paddock because he didn't want any questions.
---
The article had gone viral, and some people were defending that it was unnecessary.
At Mercedes, Toto had been informed about this; he had read the article and was furious. He agreed—it was an unnecessary article, even if it spoke well of him.
He remembered Christian's words from when they talked in the elevator, "The guys used to tease me... the teachers punished me for unjust things, and to attack me, they mocked my appearance."
When he read that in the article, he thought of him and didn't wait long to go find him.
Then, Christian heard knocks on the door. He didn't want to open it until he heard his voice.
"Christian... it's Toto, please open," he said.
He reluctantly got up; his eyes were somewhat red. He opened the door, and Toto looked at him, his gaze softened so much.
Toto felt a pang, seeing him so broken. "Oh, Christian, come here," he said as he entered and hugged him.
Christian felt cared for and shed more tears. "I shouldn't cry over this," he said.
"You're allowed to cry; nothing is wrong," Toto said. "Come, let's go to bed."
Christian then released himself from his arms and looked at him cautiously... Was Toto taking advantage of his vulnerable state?
"Relax, I won't do anything like that," Toto said, taking his hands. "A hug is always good, right?"
Christian trusted and they curled up in bed. Toto gently stroked Christian's back, and at times, the Briton felt so vulnerable that he cried again, burying his face in Toto's neck.
Soon after, he fell asleep, and so did Toto. He held him in his arms, and Christian felt comfortable enough to sleep.
When he woke up, it was due to a call on Toto's phone; they were calling him for a meeting before the practices.
"I have to go," he whispered.
"I know," came the reply.
Both sat on the bed, and Toto made sure that Christian was feeling better. They looked at each other for a moment, and Toto simply placed a kiss on his forehead.
"Take care, and if you want to talk, always call me," he said, caressing his cheek.
"Thank you," he responded with a small smile.
Later, feeling calmer, Christian talked with his wife briefly about the article.
Meanwhile, on the same day, all the Team Principals had spoken about how unnecessary it was to publish an article attacking someone's physical appearance. Even drivers had spoken out, including Lewis. Toto, in particular, was quite critical.
Soon after, Gunther would mention to Christian that Toto had spoken to everyone about addressing the issue of that article, and he even took the chance to joke about it being a miracle that Toto defended him.
---
Christian's heart softened, and he smiled gently. Undoubtedly, Toto was amazing, and the feelings swirling within him became more evident to Christian.
Then the smiles returned, the fleeting glances. Only now, according to them, they were friendly.
They hadn't decided to talk yet; they were afraid they might get carried away, and then... other things might happen.
But at least it comforted them to know they had overcome a potential obstacle, yet the pain lingered in a way.
Toto constantly glanced at his wedding ring, while Christian sometimes felt twinges in his chest and wasn't sure what to do exactly.
Both lit up when a Mercedes victory came. Christian saw it on the screens, observed Toto's smile, and felt happy for him.
So, he decided to seek him out to congratulate him; it was a well-deserved victory, another win for Lewis, a new hope for Mercedes.
After the podium celebrations, Christian peeked into the Mercedes motorhome.
"Hey, champ," he joked, and Toto smiled at him.
"Hello to you too," he said softly.
"I just came to congratulate you; it was a great race," Christian said, looking at him, then approaching to give him a hug.
---
And when they separated slightly, Toto smiled and gave that look to him. Christian knew that their feelings hadn't faded as he had thought.
"Thank you," Toto replied, moved by Christian's gesture.
Unnoticed by them, Toto had his hands on Christian's hips, and Christian couldn't bear it any longer.
He leaned in and placed a small kiss at the corner of Toto's mouth, almost near his cheek.
They both looked at each other, and the atmosphere shifted once again. Toto leaned his forehead against Christian's and sighed.
"Don't do this to me," he whispered, almost pained by holding back.
"Don't do what?" said Christian, wanting to be a little playful.
"You know..." said Toto, "you'll hate me if something else happens."
"I haven't said anything," said Christian. "Besides... it was me who took the step this time," he dropped.
Then Toto moved away slightly and saw Christian's tempting gaze, looking at his lips, then back at him.
And the kiss wasn't long in coming—a hungry, fierce kiss full of anticipation.
They slowly made their way to the bed, knowing what they wanted to do, what they had been denying themselves.
---
The clothes came off slowly; Toto savored every inch of Christian's skin as he gasped and moaned.
He descended slowly with small kisses all over his abdomen and then lingered between Christian's legs.
Christian only moaned and gasped at the sensation of Toto's mouth; then, he began to move his hips up and down to intensify the contact.
Toto ascended again and kissed him slowly...
"You don't know how much I've desired you," he said in a husky voice.
"Me too," Christian replied. Then, he raised his hands to the other's neck and pulled him into another kiss.
They were hungry and thirsty for each other, finally surrendering because they couldn't hold back anymore, because they succumbed to temptation.
Shortly after, Christian had his legs wrapped around Toto's hips as he moved intensely.
For both of them, these were new sensations, as they had never imagined being with someone of the same sex, much less at their age.
One might say that, in the years they've lived, rediscovering what you like, what attracts you, would be chaotic... but everything flowed quite well, very romantic, very erotic.
Christian scratched Toto's back, feeling overwhelmed with ecstasy, allowing himself to be carried away. He could sense Toto's smile and, having found that sweet spot, he became more forceful in his movements.
Some time later, when they were both satisfied, tangled under a sheet, they kissed each other slowly while caressing their bodies.
It felt like a honeymoon; it was just them in their own world.
---
"What are we going to do now?" Toto said softly, trying not to break the moment.
"I don't know," sighed Christian as his hand traveled along Toto's arm. "I just know that I couldn't hold back anymore, Toto."
"I... I couldn't either," he replied honestly. "That's why I tried to stay away, I thought everything would be friendly... but having you so close is so tempting," Toto said, and he joined his lips with Christian's once more.
Christian smiled. "I feel the same with you... But you have to know that our world will shatter when we step out of here," and the smile slowly faded, replaced by a look of sadness.
"I know," Toto said, holding him tighter, as if he didn't want to let go. "Our world."
"Will it happen again?" whispered Christian.
"In theory... it shouldn't happen again," said Toto with a pang. "We have to... endure... even if we don't want to."
And in their little sinful bubble, they kissed again, taking advantage of whatever time their small world would last, hoping that... in theory, it wouldn't happen again.
But the sinner is always unpredictable. When they acquire a new vice, they fall back into its arms.
So, it happened again, several times more. Suddenly, they had created a domestic dynamic between them.
Christian never imagined himself wearing a Mercedes shirt in such an intimate setting, and worse yet, that it would fascinate Toto so much that he would keep him wrapped up all night.
He promised himself that he would make Toto wear, even if just once, a Red Bull hoodie.
Although in their moments together, there always arose a conversation about continuing, stopping, or simply what to do.
"It's clear we won't stop," said Christian sounding resigned as he lay on Toto's chest. They were watching a movie in the hotel room where Red Bull was staying.
"How long can we hold out?" Toto said, burying his face in Christian's neck.
"It's only been a couple of weeks," said Christian, "but we know we should stop... it's for the best."
"And how do you want to stop?" Toto said. "One of us always seeks the other."
Christian moved away from Toto to face him.
"I know, but... we'll hurt someone..." feeling the remorse.
"I feel the same way," Toto admitted, then stroked Christian's hair. "But sometimes I fantasize so much about you."
"I'd make you live in Oxfordshire," Christian said, smiling.
"With many animals, surely," said Toto.
They both laughed.
"Yes, with many animals," said Christian affectionately. "I'd teach you how to ride."
Toto changed his gaze. "I think you already taught me... a few days ago."
"I could teach you more," said Christian, blushing but playing along. "But that's not what I meant."
"I know... but honestly, I don't want us to be a tragic novel where we can only live together in our fantasies," said Toto, caressing Christian's cheek.
"Me neither, but what can we do?... we don't want to create chaos," said Christian.
"But we don't want to drift apart either," said Toto. "You know that with time, we'll have to decide something."
"We can't be selfish," said Christian. "We can't have two people."
"Then we must choose," replied Toto, taking Christian's hand.
"You seem determined," Christian let out.
"It's not that," said Toto. "I'm willing to consider both options because in both, I'll have to face forward, not backward. Both would hurt."
"I know," said Christian softly, and Toto leaned in to place a kiss on his cheek, offering his comfort amidst their shared concern.
They let time pass, but they knew that decision had to come at some point. They discussed, they got scared, and at the same time, they consoled each other.
Maintaining a double life was challenging because at times, sudden bouts of jealousy arose, self-flagellation for the committed sin. However, Christian could now say that everything was destined to resolve in its own way, even if it involved pain.
His wife noticed. She didn't know who that person was, but she was assertive in saying, "I'm at an age where I won't give you the satisfaction of creating something public." In a way, this was a relief for Christian, but at the same time, it was painful.
She tried to want to reclaim him, yes, but she stopped. She stopped because she wasn't going to exhaust herself in doing so.
During that time, Christian didn't speak with Toto, and they didn't meet often. More than to talk, an anxiety had built up in Christian, feeling like they might have been seen and that his wife had found out.
Toto was considerate, giving him space, and he was fearful too.
On the other hand, Toto's situation was more dramatic. It wasn't a media spectacle. Neither he nor his wife wanted that, nor did it benefit anyone involved. However, there were discussions, tears.
She did try to reclaim Toto, many times, although later she would admit that it brought out a side of her that she didn't recognize. It was painful for Toto too; he stopped recognizing the person his wife used to be and felt guilty, understanding the magnitude of this situation more deeply.
They kept their distance, a mix of so many things. They didn't want to see each other because they felt guilty, blamed each other, and arguments escalated frequently.
Until after a few months, Christian approached. He had arrived at Toto's current bachelor apartment.
"We can't go on like this," he mentioned. "I know it's been tough. We've temporarily hated each other, accused each other, tried to blame each other, but we know the fault is ours. We just can't continue this way."
"Christian," said Toto softly.
"Just tell me that... we'll try, that all this pain won't be in vain... please," he said through tears.
"Oh, sweetheart... of course it won't be in vain," said Toto, embracing him. "I'm sorry for treating you poorly these past months."
"No... please forgive me," whispered Christian.
Then Toto took Christian's face and allowed himself to do something that, due to all this conflict, fear, and fighting, he had refrained from doing for months, kissing Christian again, having him to himself once more.
And sometimes, tales don't end happily; rather, it's a bittersweet feeling due to all the events preceding the end of a story, and this is one of those stories with a bittersweet resolution, a strange sensation but with a glimmer of hope in the distance a conclusion that will slowly turn into a happy ending.
But Christian, now immersed in what was once sin... well, not quite sin anymore, could say that he can live with that stain as long as Toto remains present because he knows their connection transcends the physical.
Toto knows it too, the connection is not just any; it's of mind, soul, and heart.
And there they were, on a beach. They had managed to have their younger children spend time together, so Christian was sitting in the sand, watching his partner play with their kids.
"Honey! Come over!" Toto shouted.
"Yes, daddy!" their child shouted back.
"Come on, Papa Chris!" Toto's son chimed in.
Christian smiled and approached a new family.
As they played on the beach, there came a moment when Toto put his arms around Christian's waist.
"I love you... did you know that?" he whispered as they watched their kids playing with the sand.
"I knew, from the moment in the elevator," said Christian, turning around. "I love you too," he whispered.
Toto glanced at their kids discreetly. "Alright, kiss me before the kids catch us."
They both laughed and shared a short, sweet kiss, feeling complete after so many ups and downs.

To heal my SydCarmy heart, here’s a little clip.
Sending my love
When you’re a chef, the most personal item you touch all day long, is your knife.
Your set of knives, curated by you, molded to your hand, sharpened again and again with your own will to keep going. To keep pushing. To be the best.
A chef’s knives are their coveted tools, the only armor between them and the strangers outside waiting to judge whatever you prepare them, combing through it with their eyes, with their mouths.
One chef does not simply ‘borrow’ another chef’s knife roll. It’s unheard of. It’s extremely risky.
Tuesday night, Sydney Adamu took her set home to cook dinner for she and her dad, which she seldom had the opportunity to do.
Because it was such a rare occurrence and because she overslept Wednesday morning, she forgot the knives on her sprint out the front door.
The realization didn’t dawn on Sydney until she was standing in front of her locker at The Bear, a loud groan leaving her as she pressed the heels of her hand into her eyes, to relieve some of the pressure.
Not only was she an hour late (which was still an hour earlier than anyone else arrived), but she’d forgotten her knives. Arguably the most important utensil in the kitchen.
“Syd?” She heard over her shoulder, approaching closer with light footsteps. “What’s wrong? You alright?” When he finally rounded the corner, concern was etched into his searing blue eyes, bright and warm like mid-July afternoon.
Her stomach flipped the way it always did when he looked at her, stupidly, unprofessionally.
Sydney shook her head to clear those thoughts away, he was too close, he might overhear her.
“I’m good, Chef. Sorry I’m late, slept past the alarm and the shower curtain fell right as I was stepping out and then I get all the way here and I left my fucking knives at home, like an idiot! And I just-“
“Hey, hey.” His tone was soft, pleading. As were his eyes. Unbearably soft.
Suddenly, as if it were his natural instinct, he reached out and touched her. Gently latching his warm hand onto her forearm, caressing it with his thumb.
Sydney stared at him hand for longer than necessary before finally looking up into his gaze. Getting the wind knocked out of her.
“You’re not late. Everything’s okay. I got the paperwork done early, anyway. And if you need help putting your shower curtain back up, I would be happy to help.” He smiled at her, dimples and all, but Sydney knew he was being genuine.
Carmen Berzatto didn’t really do empty words.
She chuckled at him, despite herself, shaking her head.
“I got it back up on my own but thank you, anyway.”
Carmen chewed on his lip, just looking at her before he turned and said,
“Come with me.”
Silently, he lead them into the kitchen, up to expo.
She sent him a question with her eyes
Carmy responded by smiling and placing something heavy and smooth in her palm.
“Here.” He whispered.
She looked down, and gasped.
Damn near dropped the object to the ground. She wound never. That was blasphemous.
Her eyebrows furrowed, surely he couldn’t mean…
“Carm, what-“
“Use them today. I’m used to shitty kitchen knives.” He said this with a shrug, as if this wasn’t something sacred she was holding. As if it wasn’t a part of his being, the way she knew that it was.
Carmen had just placed two tons of trust into her hands, and while she was freaking out and probably not breathing, Sydney was also basking in it.
He trusts me. He trusts me not to fuck up. He trusts me to handle it with care. He doesn’t just trust me with his restaurant, he trusts me with his heart.
She can’t continue this train of thought or she will cry. Right there in front of her EC.
“Thank you, chef.” She whispered.

coukd u maybe do a b99, maybe jake teases amy at work by just poking her sides then amy gets revenge when they get home ?
Poking the Bear
For the record, Jake loves his girlfriend. He just also really, really loves messing with her. She makes it easy.
“Hey, Ames. Can you pass me that box? Yep, that one.” He points up at the upper shelf in the evidence locker, knowing damn well Amy can just barely reach it. She stretches up onto her tiptoes, pulling the box closer to the edge of the shelf with small brushes of her fingertips. Jake watches the movement of her hands for a little too long.
When the box reaches the shelf’s edge, Jake crowds right behind her. She instinctively leans back into him--which, wow, that’s adorable--and uses his presence to keep herself from losing her balance.
He pokes her sides. Her squeak echoes like a gunshot.
“Jake.” She whirls around and grabs his hands.
“Amy.” He gives her his most innocent stare. “Still need that box, babe.”
She narrows her eyes at him. He smiles.
Amy slowly, slowly, reaches up for the box, eyes flicking rapidly over her shoulder to ensure Jake isn’t up to shenanigans. When she has the box securely in her hands, he pokes her sides again. She drops it with a yelp. He picks up the box as if nothing happened, as if she weren’t boring holes into the side of his head with her eyes.
“Thanks.” He kisses her temple and squeezes past her, not even bothering to hide his smirk.
“‘Scuse me.” Jake gives Amy’s sides a few pinches. Amy giggles--giggles!--and bumps into Rosa in her effort to escape. Rosa and Jake lock eyes for a moment.
“Jake,” Amy hisses, her face blooming an adorable pink. She swats his shoulder.
“Amy.” Jake holds an affronted hand to his chest. She glares, her nose scrunching just slightly as she tries to explode his head with her mind. Jake fights the temptation to kiss her nose.
Jake slips some cash into the vending machine and gives it a good kick for an extra bag of chips. He tosses it to Rosa and she catches it one handed, popping the bag neatly at the top with the force of her grip. Jake pauses to admire her handiwork, pokes Amy again, and swiftly flees the breakroom. He just narrowly ducks out of her grasp, but her squeal tells him that she couldn’t escape Rosa’s.
Amy’s laughter follows Jake out into the bullpen. His heart soars with it.
“Jacob Peralta.” The door slams open. Amy kicks off her shoes and leaps onto the bed.
“Hey honey, how was your--Amy, we can talk about thihihis!” Jake cackles as Amy tazes his sides, moving up and down in erratic patterns. He grabs her wrists for something to hold onto.
“Go ahead, talk.” Amy readjusts herself on his legs. Jake splutters and stares up at her, any coherent defense of his character lost to the sight of her hovering over him, her hair tumbling in loose waves down her shoulders. She rests her fingers in points on his stomach, still but threatening. God, she’s so pretty--focus, Peralta.
She raises an eyebrow. Jake whines and covers his face.
“That’s what I thought.” She vibrates her fingers into his stomach. His whole body jumps and he plummets into belly-laughter, the kind that makes him curl like a shrimp and wave his hands around.
“You have some nerve when you’re the one who’s deathly ticklish.” Amy tries to sneak her hands up to his armpits, but he clamps his elbows tightly down. This only traps her fingers on his ribs, but he’ll take it. He’d like not to die tonight.
“I am not!” Jake gasps, but the goofy smile on his face isn’t helping his case. Amy squeezes his sides. Jake makes a noise not unlike a squeaky toy, complete with a bouncy giggle, and Amy has the audacity to coo at him.
“You sure? Because this--” Another squeeze, and Jake actually snorts-- “Says otherwise.”
“You sound like the Pillsbury dough boy.” Amy snickers. Jake lets out a garble of syllables and curls up again, but Amy pinches at his stomach until he uncurls. He throws his head back into the pillows and kicks his legs. She finds a seam of muscle near his sides and curls her fingers into it, scritching with reckless abandon. Jake squeals and flops around.
“If you wanted me to do this, you could’ve just asked,” Amy murmurs in his ear, her smile curling past his pinkened ears. He squeaks in a way that would put their tea kettle to shame and hides his face again.
This is one of the best parts of their relationship. The way she knows him inside and out.
“Y-You are going to kill me, ohmygod.” His voice comes out at a higher pitch than he would have thought possible.
“You’ll live,” Amy says sweetly, jamming her thumbs into the creases of his hips. Jake’s life flashes before his eyes as he shrieks. He arches his back near-snapping as his laughter plummets into silence.
“Amy! T-Tickles!” His laughter rockets back to life, laced with hiccups. Amy laughs with him and it’s the only thing his melting brain can focus on besides her evil fingers.
She slows her hands, indulging in the full-body jumps she can coax from him with a poke nearly anywhere. His giggles swirl around them both. He throws an arm over his face as he reacquaints himself with oxygen.
Poke. Jake jumps and giggles, laughing more at himself and the situation than the touch. Amy must be able to tell too—she chuckles at him and smooths her palms over his chest.
“I have seven brothers. You will not win this war.” She points at him very sternly. He leans up for a kiss and she indulges him, but that brings her finger right into his ribs and then they’re both snickering again.
As Jake’s laughter dies down, the grin stays, morphing into something mischievous and a bit devilish.
“Doesn’t mean I can’t try.” He flips them over, scooping a squealing Amy into his arms and plunging willingly into the throes of revenge for the sweet laughter of his love.

knock off tvd walter boys 1x02 review
Is there a reason the author wanted it to sound like altar boys? Do they all worship the goddess that is Jackie?
Damon, I mean, Cole, and the best friend. DRAMAAAAAA.
"He used to be the best quarterback in the county" why are we doing exposition like this? Can't she see a picture or a trophy or something and it can be a kernel for something to explore later?
This is definitely giving me when Elena went to Damon's room for the first time and saw that there were books and it was supposed to be a REVELATION.
Honestly, I'm probably just going to make constant TVD correlations now. If I didn't take this show seriously before, I definitely do not take it seriously now.
"He smashed up his leg last winter and now he can't play anymore. Cole lived for football" I can literally see this as written exposition in the wattpad story.
Why doesn't this child have to do chores?
"I usually warm up with a jog, sound good?" I don't run but is that not how every runner warms up for a run?
Show his abs all you want, he is not attractive.
This show is so bad at chaos. I know not everything can be The Bear and especially 2.06 of The Bear but at least channel Cheaper of the Dozen which this is also clearly inspired by
Tumblr media
THIS is chaos.
Why wouldn't Donna tells Jackie that there's a schedule for the bathroom? Why wouldn't Jackie deduce that when there is a village of children living at this house?
Bro, I'm breaking that fucking camera.
I know it's supposed to be boys boying and I know teenagers are sociopaths but her entire family basically has just died. And you're doing things like bleaching her hair? Her family is dead! LIKE?
That Black woman deserves more than this Andrew Garfield funhouse knockoff. I swear this show fills me with rage.
"Hi." "Hi." That's your future mother in law and you guys sound like you barely know each other.
"They think we're too young" you look like you're 35.
Like at least when they wanted me to believe that Tom Welling was a senior in high school, it was Tom Welling so I got to look at this
Tumblr media
"Jackie. Is this your locker?" Who ELSE would it belong to, Elijah Wood Stefan???
"Fellowship of the Ring. Do you know it?" I CAN'T DEAL WITH HOW PAINFUL THIS IS. Why WOULDN'T she know it? At least the title.
You know, Fake Damon and Fake Stefan are both extraordinarily terrible, Fake Damon this is how you tease-flirt? "Who takes this many notes?" "Me." "Pfft, yeah, dorks like you." ARE YOU IN GRADE 4? Jake Peralta that shit, man
Tumblr media
AT LEAST MAKE IT PANDIE
"I'm not a dork!" "Relax, Jackie, I'm just joking" would you still be upset if someone called you a dork in the 10th grade?
What is Jackie's personality exactly?
"You need to come see me. It's not a request, Cole. Make an appointment soon." My guidance counsellors would just call you into their office in the middle of class.
"Damn girl..." never, NEVER, say that again.
I am crying because I think I'd rather watch TSITP and I hate TSITP.
This is how bad all of this is.
I can't deal with Grace and Surfer Damon in the same scene, I think I will throw things.
"Ladies." EW.
AT LEAST BE TIM RIGGINS.
Tumblr media
I hate everything about this experience.
THEY GAVE A STELENA SCENE
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
TO JACKIE AND BLOND BIMBO DAMON?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
"the cole effect" "damon just got under my skin"
Tumblr media
Someone find me a current teen show that doesn't have stilted dialogue. Do they exist?
That is an aggressively blue cardigan.
"Janie left after you called her bangs stupid" did I just have a particularly mean high school? WHAT are these "insults"? Not even something like "Janie left after you said her bangs made her look like Spock"? REALLY?
Shouldn't there be a staff advisor for student council?
Why do you need to get married now? Just wait or elope if it means that much.
"You're not the only one who wants to get out of here, you know. I want to major in political science at Georgetown." Why is it a big deal in this show for people to have goals?
"People from my background, we don't have much political influence. I want to change that!" NO ONE SPEAKS THIS WAY.
*SCREAMS INTO THE VOID*
WAIT. wait. WAIT. wait. WAIIIIIIIIT. Matt Rife Knock Off Damon isn't a senior??? HOW OLD IS THIS MAN SUPPOSED TO BE?
I'm 14 minutes in. I'm only 14 minutes in. WHY.
Hayley. Jackie. Grace. Kylie. Erin.
"Is that obvious?" "That you're a New Yorker? Yeah." How?
So, there's this scene in the movie Twister where Bill's city fiancee goes back home with him so he can get divorce papers from his first wife and they end up chasing tornadoes, you know, as you do and she stays for dinner and she's just going through a shock and trying to be polite but is close to being catatonic
youtube
that should've been a scene. And now I want steak.
"It's a good save with the hat, though." Is that not just common sense?
Has anyone read this story? Do the characters struggle to flirt and find things to talk about in the story as well?
"So you snitched?" You guys are pranking her and her family is DEAD.
Still, at least you're not Belly.
Did he just give her weeds? Like not even a flower but weeds?
No, I'm forwarding through the most awkward play fight or chasing or whatever they're doing.
Sombre music because Jordan who invades everyone's personal space has to give up his camera?
Oh my god, another teenager with GOALS???? THE ANOMALIES.
"Alex, thank you for sticking up for me" do you have any other dialogue with this non human person?
Jackie and Hobbit Stefan are terrible with absolutely no chemistry but she at least looks like she's trying with him
Tumblr media Tumblr media
"Man, again?" SHE HAS BEEN THERE FOR LIKE THREE DAYS.
I hate everyone for asking me to watch this but myself the most for agreeing 😫

CANON VERSES.
young protége
Living in the shadow of the Keeper of the Code isn’t easy for the young Jack Sparrow, particularly when he’s left to fend for himself in the pirate haven of Shipwreck Cove and dismissed for his ambitions to one day command a ship of his own. He wants more than anything to leave the island, and his life, behind, conflicted as to whether piracy is really his true calling, but it is the arrival of a charming French captain that eventually forces Jack into a decision that will unintentionally change his life.
This verse covers Jack's upbringing on Shipwreck Cove, up until the age of twenty, and the Shipwreck flashbacks in The Price of Freedom. I primarily draw upon canon established in this novel, however I also take inspiration from Sins of the Father, one of the Young Jack series. I do not consider any of the other Young Jack books as part of my canon. As far as the flashback scene in DMTNT goes, I do incorporate it, but altered under certain conditions detailed in my DMTNT verse.
five sodding years of work
Press-ganged into the crew of La Vipère after being betrayed by friend and rogue pirate Christophe de Rapièr, Jack knows he cannot return to Shipwreck Cove without facing death for breaking the Pirate's Code. After escaping from the rogue ship, he and fellow crewman Robby Greene sign on to the East India Trading Company, working their way up the ranks as merchant sailors until Jack is offered captaincy of the Wicked Wench by the EITC Director for West Africa, Cutler Beckett.
This verse covers the roughly five year period of Jack's employment in the East India Trading Company. He is hiding his piratical past and playing a very convincing role of a law-abiding merchant sailor, so unless plotted otherwise, your muse should not recognise him as a former pirate.
freedom isn’t free. it comes with the highest of costs
Now branded a pirate and having lost his soul in order to raise the newly rechristened Black Pearl from the depths, Captain Jack Sparrow finally has everything he ever wanted. He’s a pirate, a captain and finally able to forge a legend that will be immortalised for centuries to come. However, that all changes when he begins searching for a way to find the long lost Aztec treasure of Cortez with his first mate, Hector Barbossa. This verse covers the two years of Jack's initial captaincy of the Black Pearl, up until Barbossa's mutiny.
a hard learned lesson it was
Betrayed and marooned on a deserted island after giving up the bearings to the fabled Isla de Muerta, with naught but a pistol with a single shot, Jack's spirit is hardened by revenge. After three days, he barters with rumrunners for passage out of his misery, but the path to regaining his ship is a long one, and he is still intent on living his life in the interim. This verse covers the ten year period prior to Curse of the Black Pearl. Jack does not have his beloved ship in his possession at this time, however that does not necessarily mean that he is ship-less.
the opportune moment
Arriving in Port Royal on the sinking Jolly Mon, fates align and, thanks to a blacksmith and a governor's daughter, Jack finds himself with the perfect leverage to secure his stolen Pearl from the hands of his mutinous and now-cursed first mate. His only issue, it turns out, are said blacksmith and governor's daughter and the small matter of the curse that needs to be lifted. This verse covers the entirety of Curse of the Black Pearl.
what bodes ill
Now reunited with his beloved Black Pearl, Jack knows all will be for naught unless he can find a way out of the soul debt he struck with Davy Jones thirteen years prior. Vexed and bearing a compass that no longer seems to work, Jack begins a desperate search for the dead man’s chest to use as leverage, or else be damned to the depths of the Locker for eternity should his time run out. This verse covers the period from the end of Curse of the Black Pearl through to Jack's death at the end of Dead Man's Chest.
close your eyes and pretend it’s all a bad dream
Returned from the land of the dead and determined not to end up there again, Jack resolves that the only way he can survive is to stab the heart of Davy Jones, thus becoming immortal and sailing the seas forever. However, while he's been gone, the Brethren Court has called all nine Pirate Lords to a convene in a meeting at Shipwreck Cove, while Cutler Beckett and Davy Jones have joined forces to take over the seas and rid them of piracy forever. This verse covers the majority of At World's End, following Jack's rescue from the Locker.
a pirate’s life for me
Following the destruction of the Endeavour, Cutler Beckett’s death and victory of the pirates over the Armada, Captain Jack Sparrow returns to his pirating ways, still seeking immortality after sacrificing his chance at stabbing the heart of Davy Jones so that Will Turner could live. When interacting with Jack, this functions as my DEFAULT VERSE: any unspecified canon threads will default to this point in his timeline.
Unless specified for a particular thread, I will ignore the very end of At World's End and Jack will STILL have the Black Pearl in his possession.
home is wherever you are
Canonically sticking to the end of At World’s End, with Elizabeth going on to bear Will a son, Henry, after he sails away on the Flying Dutchman to carry out his duty for ten years at a time. With the absence of a father in the young Henry Turner’s life, Jack slowly and unconsciously begins to fill that gap through his visits to Shipwreck Cove, which in turn become more and more frequent as he develops a bond with a boy he comes to think of as a son in all but name.
This verse leads directly into my DMTNT-era verse, set nineteen years later, and assumes a familiarity with Henry that is not present in the movie itself.
our sands be all but run
After hearing word that his first mate, Joshamee Gibbs, is being tried for his own crimes in London, Jack mounts a daring rescue attempt -- and ends up embroiled in a venture by none other than Edward Teach to locate and covet the spoils of the Fountain of Youth. In the process, he is reunited with not only an old flame, but his beloved ship, magically trapped into a bottle.
This verse encompasses the entirety of On Stranger Tides and the years afterwards, prior to Dead Men Tell No Tales, as well as any AUs where Jack is seeking the Fountain of Youth.
bad luck dogs you day and night
After a series of near-disasters culminate in the release of Captain Salazar from the Devil’s Triangle ( a once famed pirate hunter now cursed and out for Jack’s blood for trapping him in the first place ), Jack must team up with his stepson, Henry Turner, and the female astronomer Carina Smyth if he hopes to find the Trident of Poseidon – an object with the power to break all curses in the sea. Due to the issues I have with the continuity and characterisation of Jack in this movie, there are a number of alterations to canon detailed HERE.
beyond my beloved horizon
With both his ship and luck finally restored, and a family reunited on land, Captain Jack Sparrow has everything he needs to repair his shattered reputation once and for all. The only thing left is for him to figure out what to do with his simian namesake, now in need of a new master.
Just as a note, this is NOT my default verse.

ok so. compare/contrast between "Memory - The Girl", "Go Hunting", and "DA CAPO", in order of their release.
MEMORY - THE GIRL
"Memory" is in the forest when she encounters shadowy figures of Orpheus duking it out with Norton's Hunter form. as in, the two are already fighting when "Memory" appears, meaning Orpheus was not acting to protect her at this time.
Tumblr media
we can see from a super brief shot of Orpheus in profile (plus the size difference) that this is not Nightmare, at least not from "Memory"'s POV. so "Memory" can see Norton's Hunter form but not Nightmare. also significant is that Norton is very clearly winning this fight - Orpheus is attacking him, but it's doing nothing.
the figures disappear when Norton appears to notice "Memory". seconds later Orpheus reappears in the flesh to comfort "Memory".
Tumblr media
Orpheus is the one who sees the Hunter form of the Entomologist bearing down on them, and Orpheus, not Norton, punches her once before running away. when "Memory" looks back, she sees the traces of a shadowy figure disappearing, although it's unclear whether she ever actually saw this Hunter before Orpheus scooped her up and away.
the scene straight-up jumps to "Memory" and Orpheus already inside a dilapidated building, with Orpheus blocking the door with his body. he has blood on his head where before he was untouched.
Tumblr media
an axe breaks through the door, which we know from "DA CAPO" to be Norton's doing, then the scene jumps again. "Memory" is back in the forest, no shadowy figures to be scene, and she clearly sees Orpheus collapse with no one else around. then "Memory" herself begins to disappear.
GO HUNTING
this short starts with Orpheus and "Memory" encountering a flashlight abandoned on the ground in a brick jungle gym.
Tumblr media
as they run, a shadowy figure lumbers in the background before Norton in his Hunter form steps into the frame, surrounded by shadows.
The Hunter used Teleport! Norton is suddenly behind them rather than around the corner off in the distance. he reaches for them, but Orpheus attacks him with the flashlight, NOT inside the building and NOT with his fists like in "DA CAPO".
Tumblr media
Orpheus drops the flashlight, and he and "Memory" run.
Norton picks up the flashlight, and there's some really cool glimpses of the beam getting closer as he follows them. but when he catches up to them, he shines it on the Hunter form of the Entomologist.
Tumblr media
she also reaches for them, but Orpheus grabs "Memory", pulling her into the dilapidated house and shutting the door. the Entomologist pounds on the door until the sound of Norton's footsteps is heard followed by the sounds of a violent scuffle. the axe breaks through the door, and the short ends.
DA CAPO
starts out inside a shack, where the Entomologist plants a music box. idk what the deal with the music box is i'll figure that out later (it's sus af tho especially given she tends to hide killer bees inside shit). she then hides in a locker.
Norton enters the shack, although the music box is gone now. the first thing Norton does is look inside the chest. he's not looking for the Entomologist. he's looking for an item. something spooks him off, though.
out in the forest, the Entomologist is carrying a flashlight. Norton very clearly attacks her, literally knocks her lights right out. Orpheus, hiding in the bushes, sees Norton punch her. Orpheus picks up the flashlight she dropped, and in this version Norton doesn't get it again.
i THINK the above scene IS the same scene from "Go Hunting" and "Memory - The Girl" from a vastly different POV because "Memory" does see Orpheus, NOT Nightmare, fighting Norton who IS in his Hunter form.
as in the other versions, Orpheus hides in a dilapidated brick building, and Norton follows him.
Tumblr media
The Hunter has Detention! (and a Jawline hot damn 👀) and, significantly, an axe, which he uses to break down the door a la The Shining.
i actually have no fucking clue whether time is passing normally from this point. in the other two shorts, Norton starts breaking the door before Orpheus starts beating on it. it is also completely unclear where exactly Orpheus goes from beating on the door to beating on Norton, and whose blood is on his hands during this time because i assume at least some of it is his own, at least until we see Norton go down.
during this beatdown, some absolutely bizarre shit happens where???? Orpheus is a corpse and then reborn??? with books flying all over the place? obviously his identities both as Survivor and Hunter revolve around him being a writer so i'm not sure whether this is meant to be visually linking him to Nightmare or not.
Orpheus breaks the glass and Nightmare is behind it, though we only get a split-second shot of him. i think the implication is that Orpheus has been "reborn" as Nightmare.
Tumblr media
so presumably, Orpheus is now Nightmare, although NOT from Norton's POV. so at this point Orpheus is seeing Nporton in his Hunter form, but Norton cannot see Nightmare.
Tumblr media
to me Norton genuinely looks shocked that Orpheus is attacking him. he does not use the axe he had a moment ago to attack Orpheus, or to defend himself. he does immediately hit Orpheus in retaliation, which could be due to hallucinations, Norton's badly-written BPD, or the fact that this asshole just sucker-punched him out of nowhere. valid if the latter.
Tumblr media
this is the only time Norton fights back. he actually pauses here, Orpheus hits him again, then when Orpheus swings a third time Norton catches his wrists and tries to hold him back. oh btw Orpheus thinks his "daughter" is watching this/that he's protecting her from Norton.
Tumblr media
despite Norton being the stronger of the two by far, from here he visibly stops fighting back, even when Orpheus grabs him by the front of his shirt. he starts to stagger after a few more haymakers to the jaw, then finally goes down when Orpheus kicks him below the belt (jfc that was so unnecessary)
Tumblr media
i find it extremely significant that "Memory" vanishes after Orpheus starts. you know. after he's finished, he seems startled by the sight of a book behind him. i'm not sure if this is a sign that he's switched back from Nightmare to Orpheus? either way, this is where the short cuts off and the trilogy ends.
initially in writing this up i was gonna make a list of everything that changes but i've been at this for like two hours now and i feel this is Good Enough for Now (tm) holy shit. i'm gonna go do something to cheer myself up.

neeeed more boxer!Carmy!!! can we please have boyfriend hcs for him 💖💖💖
AHHHH we lovvvvveeeee boxer!carmy sm that i’m making it a series, i’d be happy to supply 🙂‍↕️🙂‍↕️
tw!! our carmy went thru it as a kid. some suggestive content.
bf boxer!carmy hcs coming right up!!
concept 1. concept 2. concept 3.
Tumblr media
bf boxer!carmy, me thinks, likes the calm of being around his pretty broad.
he’s a fighter (has been since the name calling turned into swirlies and books knocked out of hands and bodies shoved into lockers and heads smashed through glass and—
oh well)
so he’s used to calamity (devours it, to satiate that inherent ache in his belly, descended from generations upon generations of misplaced, misguided hurt), harnesses its power, the adrenaline, in every fight, focuses it. it’s why he’s so damn good at what he does.
but even he, carmen ‘carmy’ berzatto, the beast, the bear, needs his moments of solitude.
which is wear she comes in, polished and pretty in pink, just as always. her soft hand slips into his calloused palm like a puzzle piece, her silken lips settle into his own chapped ones like a key in a lock, and her body…
carmy’s never been good with words, but trying to describe the beauty of his girlfriend never fails to leave him speechless.
her supple figure, her delicate being, it fits to him, both literally and figuratively, unassumingly and forcibly, in ways he could never even begin to describe, can hardly begin to fathom. all he knows is that she makes everything… quiet. calm (when she wants to. sometimes, she’s gives him a bigger headache than any concussion ever could).
bf boxer!carmy fs pays for everything. like, hands down, every purchase his girl makes, from the day they start the talking stage to the dreadful day he fucks up their whole relationship and she leaves him (like he’d ever let her go), is paid for by him.
he will genuinely get upset if she even walks around with her wallet in her purse, let alone buys something with her own money; made her delete all her cards—debit and credit—from her phone and put all of his there instead.
he's not trying to buy her love (though maybe her forgiveness, nothing says ‘i'm sorry’ like a new pair of jimmy choo's and a westwood purse), fuck no—nor is he trying to place authority over her, stake some fucked up claim that twistedly means he now owns her—he only wants to spoil her, keep her safe and secure, offer her comfortability.
it used to be an issue, she couldn’t get it through that pretty, thick fucking skull of hers that the money she made was not to be touched, not unless it’s an emergency (like a literal emergency, cannot stress that enough).
once, still in the fairly early stages of their relationship, he took her out to a quaint little cafe down the road from his press conference for his upcoming fight, and she tried to pay for their coffee. he, sadly, broke one of her acrylics in the process of slamming the hand with her card against the chasier counter and snatching said card away (tears were surely shed, but after profuse apologies and a few—appeasing on his end, begrudging on her end—kisses, she was softly, sweetly reprimanded for being dumb enough to think she was ever paying for anything with him around). needless to say, she doesn’t pay for anything, and never even thinks to anymore unless she’s trying to get on his nerves.
speaking of acrylics, bf boxer!carmy definitely makes her match ‘em to the tip. he reads as a head scratch, back scratch kinda guy, too, so honestly the longer and pointier the better. he also lovessss her signature baby pink toes (can’t take his eyes off ‘em when he’s got her on her back with her feet pressed to his pecs, soft strokes, teasing, ‘til those baby pink toes curl ‘cause he hit that spot. then, he’s pounding—).
bf boxer!carmy likes coming home to food. doesn’t really care if it’s take out or home cooked, always appreciates the love his girl puts into her cooking though. but if there’s not enough for two (at least for six, he always has three helpings, if not more) this man will throw a FIT. what’s his baby gonna eat? and she best not get smart and say some dumb shit like ‘girl dinner’ bc he will shut her tf up (don’t threaten us w a good time bear 🤭).
any time she neglects to make or order food for herself, he leaves her standing at the kitchen island to go get her favorite from either the three michelin star restaurant down on 39th street or the bodega on the corner of their block.
sometimes, she does it on purpose:
“where’s yours, cub?” carmy huffs, duffle slipping onto his polished wood floors with a dull thud. his hair is matted with sweat and he stinks, he knows—can’t fucking wait to get in the shower—but he’s got a more pressing matter at hand right now.
his girl, scrubbing the dirty dishes in a ballet pink baby doll and silk bonnet to match, raises a perfectly plucked brow, and lifts her eyes to address him with a soft, conniving cadence.
“where’s m’wha’, bear?”
and god it’s so difficult to call her out when she’s looking at him like… like that.
he could knock her tf out right now (more like choke her tf out but).
he rolls his eyes, doesn’t miss her pleased smile as he turns on his heel, keys and wallet in hand, and walks right back out the front door.
bf boxer!carmy who can’t sleep without his girl in their bed, cradled in his arms, bundled between their satin sheets, fuzzy blankets, and a hefty comforter. keeps the AC on high all night long so he has an excuse to keep her close. he usually sticks to big spoon, though he’s certainly not opposed to being held (makes back and head scratches that much easier), he’d never pass up on the chance to stuff his face in his pretty broad’s pretty chest.
he drools and snores when he’s had a rough day or falls into the deepest sleep, and he always gets this cute scrunch to his face when he’s dreaming about something sad (sad, is her decided word, because that’s all she can feel when she kisses the furrow between his brows away).
when she can’t make it to one of his fights (which is few and far between) he spends as much of the night as he can on the phone with her just to stall the inevitable tossing and turning that’s waiting for him when the line goes dead (it’s the familiarity that gets to him, haunts him. it’s so easy to remember what it’s like, those restless nights, the constant noise).
and lastly (for now) bf boxer!carmy is suchhhh a control freak. as much as he loves his pretty broad, she irks him to NO END with the way she does the exact fucking opposite of what he so sweetly asks of her, too often to be good for his general mental health and wellbeing. he may push her buttons, but 8 out of 10 times it’s never fucking deliberate. she, the little fucking magenta devil, does that shit like it’s her only source of entertainment.
though, he can hardly complain. she may never learn her lesson, but at least she knows how to take a punishment like a good girl—
a/n: KEEP THE REQUESTS COMING PLS WRITING THJS EAS LOKE HEROINE INMY VEINSXHSHAHDGWJA
im fine. 😁.

Regina(big sister of reader) connects the dots and realizes reader has a massive crush on Janis
Some fighting
Good ending 🫡
✧ Crush
Janis ‘Imi’ike x fem! reader(+ older sister Regina)
Warnings: coarse language, reader & Regina quarrel a little
In which Regina steps up and becomes reader’s wingwoman when reader’s crush on a certain someone becomes annoying (in Regina’s terms)
Part two / Part three
Tumblr media
(Pictures used are from Pinterest & Auli’i’s IG)
Tumblr media
After your Mom and Dad split up, you and your sister’s bond only grew stronger. Individually, you could still love your parents to an extend, and definitely appreciated them for what they’ve given you and Regina. But everything was still tumultuous so you and your sister have learnt over the years to stay away from them as much as possible. As a result, Regina pretty much paid for your food, new clothes and even your phone bill. Heck, she was the one who got you a proper working phone after a four-year old handed down device from your Mom had become absolutely just useless. You never asked for anything unless you needed it, but she would always get you a little something every now and then without telling you anything.
Regina was two years older than you, so when you first started high school, she was already in junior year. And that was the craziest year of all to you. Not just because of the Burn Book wrecking total havoc in her year but also the first time you’ve seen someone in a damn long time. You walked into school with Regina on one of your first morning of freshmen year, eyes curiously observing your surroundings. You had completely stopped in your tracks when your gaze fell on a familiar face. You couldn’t tell who it was, but definitely knew who it was.
Let’s put it this way…your brain couldn’t remember but your heart sure did. “Who are you looking at?” Regina noticed, closing her locker after getting out a book she needed.
“Is that— um, what’s her name? Wasn’t she your best friend?”
“Oh, that’s Janis. Yes, we were friends. Probably why you recognise her because she used to come over a lot and you would always cling onto her like a koala bear or something.”
“Are you still on that?” You grumbled, “I was four.”
“What did you want?”
“I don’t know. Reintroduce myself? I don’t know anyone here except you and Cady.”
“I could help with that.” Regina shrugs, “You…just go up to her and say hello.”
“Uh…no way, Regina.” You scoff, studying your schedule closely, “Where’s room 217?”
“I’ll take you there. Just go say hi.”
“Not doing that, just take me to the classroom.” You sigh.
“Whatever.” Regina smirked, “Let’s go then.”
Being in different years, the sisters obviously did not have any classes together. But, they did run into each other again at lunch since they had their break at the same time-slot. You had no one to sit with, so you just found a table in the corner and settled down to eat while Regina sat with her friends and Cady. “Hey.” You heard a voice walking up behind you. Your back stiffens as you sat up. Hold on…
You turned around and you saw her getting closer to you. “Wow, I thought I saw you earlier.” She says. “Haven’t seen you in forever. y/n, right?”
“Janis.” You chuckled, “Hi.”
“Mind if I join you?”
“Not at all, go ahead.” You shrug, trying to keep it cool.
She sits down opposite you, “So…how’s your first day so far?”
“Made a friend, we don’t have lunch together though. My two best friends from middle school got assigned to a different high school, so it kinda sucks a little to have to start all over.”
“Ah, just take it easy and let things happen on its own. Don’t stress yourself out over things that you can’t really control, you’ll meet the right people with time.”
You hummed, shrugging your shoulders as you stabbed the food with your fork and ate some of it.
“You know, I remember when you were probably like— 3 or 4. And you would always cling onto me while me and Regina played board games or cards or something.” Janis mentions.
“Oh, my God— you remember that too? Regina keeps bringing it up to make fun of me.” You sigh, but couldn’t help it and laughed a little anyway.
Janis grins, “I thought it was sweet that you trusted me that much.”
“Is that so?” You guffawed.
“Oh, very much so.” She nods, “I don’t have siblings so having you to dote on the way I did was great.”
Siblings. Well, what a weird feeling you were having in your heart right now. Staring at your tray, you twirled the spaghetti with your fork, avoiding her eyes.
Pushing that feeling aside, you soon continued to chat with Janis for the remainder of lunch, saying bye to her when the two of you went your separate ways to your respective classes.
————
After classes were all done for the day, you made your way to the parking lot to wait for your sister by her Jeep as discussed. You waited just a few minutes before she showed up with Cady. “Hi, y/n!” Cady waved at you cheerfully.
“Hey!” You smiled in return, getting into the car when the both of them did.
“How was your day?” Regina asked casually as she started to drive away from school grounds.
“It was okay, Janis talked to me at lunch, I made a friend in my art class.”
“Good— wait—” Regina nearly gasped but stopped herself, “She did?”
“Almost made a fucking fool of myself.”
“What? It couldn’t be that bad, you guys know each other.”
“The last time I saw her, I was 10. It’s been four years.” You glared at your sister, “You know what the first thing she brought up was? Exactly what you mentioned this morning.”
“Come on, bubs. It was cute.”
“Yes! Because I was four.” You groaned, “Did you remind her?”
“Hey, we’re not close like we used to be. Don’t overestimate either of us.”
“What…what are you guys talking about?” Cady asks, confused.
“She took forever trying to figure out who Janis was this morning. But that’s beside the point, what she’s referring to is, I told her how she used to always basically climb onto Janis and snuggle while I was trying to hang out with my best friend.”
“Oh, enough.”
“y/n, what’s the big —”
“You better watch it.” You warned.
“Ooh.” Regina glances at you with wide eyes, “Moody much. Cramps?”
“Shut up.” You huffed, crossing your arms as you looked outside while she drives.
You got home and just went straight to your room. Regina sighs, “I don’t even wanna know what’s going on.”
“She’s upset.” Cady pointed out, “She clearly didn’t want you to tell people that. You didn’t need to tell me.”
“It’s not a big deal, though. She always laughs at that and suddenly today she has a problem with it?”
“Well, things change?” Cady sat down, Regina does so as well.
“I only told you. I didn’t tell anyone else, so what I don’t get it why she’s so pissed off— oh my God.”
“What?” Cady asks, panicking a little inside.
“She said she almost made a fool of herself at lunch. Janis was with her.”
“So…”
“Do you think she likes Janis?” Regina gasped, “Like actually, has feelings for her?”
“I mean, it’s a possible explanation as to why she had such a big reaction to something she usually couldn’t care less about.”
“Janis talked to her.” Regina continued, “Janis doesn’t just talk to somebody.”
“She talked to your sister. Someone she knows.” Cady says.
“Not after four years of being practically strangers.” Regina smirks.
“What on Earth are you planning, Regina?” Cady asked nervously.
“Do you think…it’s possible that Janis would go out on a date with y/n?”
“I mean…”
“I’m gonna go talk to y/n. One sec.”
That did not go well, you two ended up yelling at each other and that subject subsequently got dropped. You cried yourself to sleep that night, not because Regina yelled at you, but because you were afraid Regina was right. That she was right about you having a raging crush on Janis. This was what scared you, you didn’t want to admit it because it will make you act more awkward around her. It was as if when she said it, it became real to you. So you freaked out and yelled back at her. Regina screamed back at you, frustrated and you told her to leave you alone so she did.
Fast forward to present day, six months after your first day at North Shore. Things have been okay with you and Regina after like a week, but since then, every time you somehow spent time with Janis(and Damian), you became so hyper aware of your feelings for the girl. And how your cheeks seem to heat up when you saw her, how you could barely look her in the eye when she talked to you. How nervous you felt. It was ridiculous. You felt like a crazy person in her presence. Each school day felt terribly long, and you couldn’t wait to get home every day.
“Okay, y/n. Honestly, you’re being way too stressed out about this.” Regina declared. “Sit down.”
“Like you weren’t this way with Cady.” You shot back. “I remember it, okay?”
“Let me help you.” She continues, unfazed.
“How? You don’t like her, still.”
“Do you have her number?”
“Yes, why?” You eyed her suspiciously.
“I could text her for you. Ask her out?”
“Are you crazy?!” You shrieked.
“Maybe a little.” Regina laughs, amused. “But I can definitely help you out, okay? I get it, you feel insane trying to keep calm. But nothing works— I get that. It’s very frustrating, but once you take that first step, everything just falls into place.”
“You can’t be so sure, Regina.”
“What makes you think that?” She squinted at you.
“She said, and I quote ‘I don’t have siblings so having you to dote on the way I did was great.’ So, Regina…do you still think I have a chance?”
“Yes.” Regina said confidently.
“I can’t— okay? What if I just make an even bigger fool out of myself? What if she rejects me and just cuts me off?”
“Okay, first thing’s first. You need to take some deep breaths and calm the hell down because we didn’t even do anything about the situation yet.” Regina started. “Give me your phone.”
“Must I?”
“Do you want to get your girl or not, y/n?” She spoke through gritted teeth, holding out her hand for you to put your phone in it. You surrendered it to her, “Match my tone, please? That’s all I’m asking.”
“I’m not an amateur, relax, y/n.”
Tumblr media
“There. It’s done— didn’t even take her a minute to respond.” Regina smirks, “She asked you where you’d like to hang out.”
“Oka— what?!” You stared at her, stunned, “Really?”
“Yeah— look.” She handed your phone back to you.
“Where do you think—”
“Honey, that’s your choice.” Regina nudged.
You thought about it for a while then decided on just going to the mall. You two could grab a lunch then watch a movie, whatever works best for that day, you guessed.
“Oh, God.” You muttered, “What do I wear?!”
“Oh, you poor thing.” Regina teased, “You just wear whatever you like, be yourself. She’ll love it.”
“Yeah, yeah, thanks.”
————
Well, Friday night you stayed up late texting Janis. You weren’t even sure how it started but you guys were nearly three hours into the conversation.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
You were this close to tossing your phone across the room after sending her your response with that emoji. But when she replied, your worries went away, and you get sucked back into the conversation quickly enough. Eventually, she tells you to go to bed.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Were you seeing things? Did she just send you a heart?! Nearly squealing, you rolled over, face down in your pillow to muffle the noise. Needless to say, you went to sleep the happiest you’ve felt, probably ever.
Oh, and…

and bc i wanna type the rest in a weird format, here u go:
me: *leaves at the end of class* *goes to locker bc holy shit i just found out a guy likes me* *gets pissed bc shit don't be adding up* *contemplates why he would like me* lowkey gets mad 💀* *screeches + punches my locker and leaves a small dent* (...oopsie) *closes my locker and takes a deep breath*
ben: *pops up outta nowhere* (awoop jumpscare) (but in a good way) hey! *does a lil wave*
me: hi!
ben: yo your class was REALLY loud. we could hear you guys all the way from our room.
me: yeah it was ten times louder inside.
ben: damn
*pauses for a minute bc we kept bumping into each other since everyone else is fucking bumping into us*

ben: uhh yeah i *might* have written a more than two paragraphs..
me: what, like four?
ben: um.. more
me: seven? six?
ben: one less
me: five? omg, good job
ben: and i'm thinking of coloring in the drawing too. aiming for that extra credit 😎 but idk yet (he was joking. our school doesn't allow extra credit)
me: thats good! and hey as long as you have some pretty solid writing, i wouldn't worry too much about the drawing.
ben: yeah. oh and uhm i'll show you my writing tomorrow (we have english Okay!
me: okay! *about to leave*
ben: wait a minute! i actually have a picture of it saved, because i sent it to [insert persons name i dont remember]. *shows me the picture of the writing and drawing* me: wow, that's really good!
ben: yeah i actually don't know how many paragraphs that is lol (he didn't use indentations) and i still don't know about coloring it in
me: i'd say that's about 4-5. and, as i said, don't worry too much about coloring it in. you have a good amount written, so you should get a solid grade on that. and the diagram for your drawing looks good. if anything, maybe highlight the main parts. so it's bold you know?
ben: okay, thanks!
me: yeah, anytime! ever need help, just ask.
ben: okay!
me: see ya later!
ben: yeah, bye!
so yeah <3

A Lover And A Fighter - Richie Tozier
Tumblr media
word count: 3122 warnings: swearing, sight sexual harassment summary: Richie promised (y/n) that he wouldn’t get into fights anymore, but sometimes he just can’t help himself.  Especially when it comes to protecting her.
___
It was an understatement to say that Richie was protective of you.  The boy was downright insane about it.  Everyone in Derry knew not to fuck with (y/n), not unless they wanted Richie Tozier tracking them down and beating them half to death.
You’d given him a talk numerous times.  But not once did they work, it always went in one ear and out the other..
He’d beaten up three ex boyfriends, a couple guys that looked at you the wrong way, and Greta Keene.  He was proud of that amount.
But he’d promised that he would try his best not to act out on your behalf anymore.  And you made him pinky promise.  That’s a big deal.  And he didn’t want to break your trust or your promise.
However… once he walked past Henry Bowers and his dumbass friends, and heard your name being mentioned, he couldn’t stop himself from getting involved.
“What was that?” He spoke before he could think things through.
The boys turned to him, each bearing a scowl that wasn’t out of character.
“I said, (y/n’s) not fucking worth it,” Henry practically growled out.  “Now why don’t you fuck off, Tozier?”
“Your damn fucking right it’s not worth it,” Richie spat back, turning away, doing the right thing.  “I’d break your goddamn nose” He muttered under his breath.
“It’s not worth it to try and get in her pants,” Henry called out before Richie could walk far enough away.
He stopped in his tracks.
“Cause she’s such a slut anyways, it’s not a real victory to fuck-”
Richie had never whipped around so fast.  And with the punch he delivered went all common sense, and all the promises and reassurances he’d given you to prove he was going to ‘mature’ as you’d begged him to do. ___
“Hey, Richie,” You held your phone between your ear and shoulder as you painted your toes.  “This is like, my fifth message… so… call me back, I guess.  Okay, bye”
You sighed as you set the phone back on it’s holster.  Richie wasn’t the type of guy to stand you up, especially on taco tuesday.  And even if something came up, he always always, called.  But now he couldn’t even bother to return one of your calls, leaving you to assume that he was upset with you for some reason, and therefore ignoring you.
You weren’t sure what you did, and at this point, you also weren’t sure that he was going to tell you either.
When Richie didn’t want to talk to someone, he was the damn best at avoiding them.
But he’d never given you the cold shoulder.  And there was a time that you’d thought he never would.  Richie was your best friend, you trusted and confided in him more than anyone else, even the other Losers.  And in the last seven years of being his best friend, he’d never treated you this way.  In fact, he always treated you amazingly, like a princess, it was very surprising actually, the way he cared about you.
It was that care that always led him to picking fights where he shouldn’t be, though.  It started with your ex boyfriend.  He broke up with you once a ‘better, prettier’ girl showed interest (his words), and the next thing you knew, Richie was throwing him against the lockers.
When your next boyfriend straight up cheated on you, Richie took care of him too.
He broke the third one’s nose.
And then there was the Greta Keene incident… Beverly may have let it slip that Greta had been writing nasty rumors about you in the girls bathrooms.  And Richie declared that he didn’t have a problem beating up a girl if it was justified (and if that girl had man arms).  That was when you drew the line, and made Richie swear to try and control his anger.  And he pinkie promised to work on it, and that he wouldn’t get into any more fights over you.
You weren’t sure why he got so enraged over these things.  It was just drama, and you found it pointless that he tried to bring you justice, since he was so reckless about it.
It was getting late, and you knew that Richie wasn’t going to return your calls.  So you finished painting your toenails blue, and decided to spend the night in your room, reading, alone.
Even though you should have been eating a bunch of tacos and gossiping with Richie.
Just as you got situated in bed, and had turned off the overhead light in exchange for the soft glow of your lamp on the bedside table, there was a knock on the window.
When you glanced over, you could tell it was Richie by his silhouette, and you frowned slightly.
Nonetheless, you got up and unlocked the window, before sliding it open.
“Where the hell have you been?” You asked.
He could tell that you couldn’t see his face very well.
“Busy, you gonna let me in?” He grinned.
“Richie, it’s-” You glanced over your shoulder to the alarm clock on your table, before glaring back at him.  “-midnight.  Are you kidding me? Did I do something to piss you off?”
“What? (y/n/n), no-”
“Then how come you were dodging all my calls? And you’re seven hours late?” You asked, crossing your arms over your chest..
Richie crawled in through the window, even though you hadn’t invited him in yet.  But he figured it was only a matter of time before you cave anyways.
Your distressed face disappeared as you caught sight of him now that he was in the light.  His left eye was bruising, and so was his right cheekbone.  Along with a split lip and a bloody nose, it was clear what had happened.
“Oh, Richie…” You mumbled, hand reaching up to cover your mouth as your eyes widened at the sight of him.  “Tell me you didn’t-”
“Look it’s not what you think-” Richie tried to protest.
“Don’t give me that shit”
He knew he fucked up, because you weren’t yelling.  Your voice was soft, and low.  You were heartbroken.
He stared down at the ground, too anxious to look at you anymore.  Not when you looked so disappointed in him.
“You promised- you-you pinky promised me-”
“I know-! I know and I’m sorry, really, I’m really fucking sorry” He told you, desperately hoping that you’d forgive him.
You shook your head at him, and gestured for him to sit before you left the room.  Richie was the most frustratingly complicated person that you knew, and it drove you insane.  Why he couldn’t just walk away and not beat the shit out of people… you weren’t sure.  But it really hurt you that he didn’t even seem to try, and he broke his promise.
Richie was sitting on the side of your bed when you came back into the room.  He chuckled as he eyed the first aid kit in your hands, the same one that you’ve used the last four or five times you dealt with the aftermath of his episodes of rages.
“You don’t have t-”
“Yes I do” You cut him off and unpacked what you’d need.
You were upset, you were fuming, actually.  It angered you that Richie broke his promise, not even a month after making it.  That promise was important to you, because he was important to you.  And now here he was, waiting to be fixed up by you once again after he so stupidly, so recklessly got himself beaten to a pulp.
But no matter how angry you were, you remained silent.  Dabbing at the excess blood under his nose, which at least wasn’t bleeding anymore.  And when you were finished with his cheek, you moved on to rubbing cream over the bruise on his cheek.  Richie’s eyes fell shut as he sighed in relief at the feeling of the cool lotion, and your gentle fingers.
He knew your silence wasn’t a good thing.  In fact, it was the worst thing.  It meant he messed up beyond redemption.  And he’d never fucked up that bad before.  Sure, he’d pissed you off and frustrated you on the daily, but that was just the hallmark of his friendship, and it was never anything serious.  Just when he dragged you out in the middle of the night for slushies, or got you in trouble in class because he was running his mouth.  He’d never made you this genuinely upset before.
“(y/n)-”
“Save it” You muttered before he could even start with the apologies.
That was another hallmark of his friendship.  You knew what came next.  The apologies, the excuses, the begging for your forgiveness, followed by a playful ‘you know you love me, you need me’ and puppy dog eyes that you couldn’t refuse.  Except tonight, you might just be able to.
He took you by surprise when he didn’t protest, and snapped his mouth shut.  Your eyes met his for a moment, before you started applying a smaller amount of lotion on the bruise surrounding his eye.  It was going to look a lot worse in the morning, but this would help with the pain now.
You hated that your heart ached for him right now.  You hated that you wanted to cry and hold him and make him feel better.  Because you were so fucking mad-
“I don’t understand,” The words suddenly spilled out of your mouth, as if your mind just couldn’t take them swimming around in your head anymore.  “I just- I- I don’t fucking get it”
He nodded, ducking his head down, only for you to lift it back up by his chin and continue with the lotion.
“I care about you, dumbass, and all I asked, which I thought was simple, all I asked was for you to stop with the fighting-”
“I know” He mumbled back.
You stared at him skeptically, wondering if he really did know, or if he’d show up again in a few weeks with the same battered face and guilty look in his eyes.  Richie didn’t look back at you.  He couldn’t.
“Who?” You asked, trying to soften your voice so he wouldn’t whither away from you like he was doing right now.
“You’re not gonna like it” Richie answered, fingers pinching at your bedsheets in an attempt to distract himself.  From the pain that burned across his whole face, or from the intensity in your eyes, he wasn’t sure, but he needed the distraction.
He hadn’t had a smoke in months, but it sounded pretty damn good right now.
“Well, newsflash, I don’t like any of this,” You told him.  “But I think I deserve to at least know what happened”
Of course you do, Richie hung his head in his hands.  You deserve so, so much better.
You watched as he rubbed his palms over his eyes, and it took everything in your power not to take his hands and hold them in yours, to tell him it was okay and you forgave him.
“Bowers”
He muttered the single word without even looking at you.  But he didn’t have to look at you to know exactly what you looked like in that moment.  You probably had a dropped jaw and furrowed brows.  Disappointment, disgust, anger, all displayed in one heartbreaking look.
“Richie…” You murmured without meaning to.  “Why? Why would you-”
“I had to, okay?” He shot up suddenly.  “I know that you hate it, and as soon as I swung I- I knew I fucked up, but I had to”
You wanted to argue it, argue that there’s always another option, that he can always walk away.  But you bit your tongue.  Something about the way he spoke told you that there was more to this than his stupidity.
“I’m sorry, (y/n/n), I am.  But I… I don’t regret it”
Your heart sunk all the way down to your stomach.  Richie had such a toll on your emotions and he didn’t even know it.
“Tell me what happened” You said quietly, and shifted closer to him.
You wanted him to know he had your undivided attention, and that he should have the chance to at least explain what happened.  You pulled your leg up to rest on the mattress, and turned your body to face him.
Richie looked at you before looking back down at his hand, which was now fisted in your blankets.
“Richie,” You hummed, brows furrowing as you saw how reluctant he was to opening up.  “Tell me” The words were so soft, it was almost inaudible.
You wondered what Henry could have done that Richie didn’t want to tell you about.  He must have really outdone himself.
“He was just talking shit-”
“Richie,” You cut off his bullshit before he could even start.  “Come on, the truth”
“It’s not-”
“I deserve to know, Tozier! Whatever it is, I don’t care, okay? Just tell me-”
“He said you weren’t worth sleeping with!”
Just like that, you’d gotten him to snap.
And you shut up instantly, shocked by the outburst.  His words processed slowly in your head.
“He said it wasn’t worth trying because you’re- because you’re a slut, and it wasn’t fucking true!” Richie continued to yell.  Not at you, he just couldn’t contain his own anger anymore.
And you thought you were pissed.
“Motherfucker had your name in his nasty fucking mouth and he was telling his buddies fucking lies and I couldn’t- fuck I couldn’t walk away.  I should’ve fucking killed him”
You were staring at him, speechless.  You should’ve known it was about you, Richie was always so fiercely protective of you.  And Henry’s wouldn’t be the first nose that he’d broken protecting you.  But this wasn’t like before.  He’d beaten on your ex boyfriends after they broke your heart.  Henry hadn’t said or done anything to you, he was just doing what boys do.  (Make shit up because they think it makes them impressive when really they’re even shittier than they look)
“I didn’t mean to break your promise,” Richie huffed.  His face was slightly flushed after his mini tantrum.  His hands grabbed both of yours, holding them close to him.  “I’m so sorry I put you through this again”
You were still silent, but he knew this wasn’t a bad silence.  You were still processing, still trying to figure out how to forgive him while making sure this was the last time he crawls through your window looking like this.
“I hope you know that it came from a place of- of caring about you,” He added.  “Caring about you too much, I guess” He mumbled as an afterthought.
Your stupid lovesick heart skipped a beat at the sweet words.  Richie wasn’t one for words, at all, but he somehow managed to say the most loving things without even realizing it.
“I can’t promise it won’t happen again, that much is clear.  And if Bowers says one more goddamn thing about your ass I’ll fucking string him up- I will- but I can promise I’ll try, okay? I will, I’ll really try”
He squeezed your hands a little bit, hoping you believed him, hoping you trusted him.
Your eyes flickered between his for a moment, and you could see in them that he was being sincere, and that he was broken up over hurting you.
“You…” He started to speak, but trailed off unsurely.  “You deserve better” He finished.
His eyes flickered to yours for a brief moment, before he turned away.
You shake your head, before you let go of one of his hands, and took his chin between your thumb and index finger, turning him to look back at you.
“(y/n/n)-”
You cut him off when you leaned in and gently kissed him, trying to be mindful of his split lip.
Richie’s eyes remained focused on your closed ones, too stunned to close them, or really kiss her back.
He wanted to kick himself when you pulled away.  He managed to miss his fucking chance because he was too slow to do anything about it.
Your eyes fluttered open in such a beautiful way Richie swore you were holding his heart in your perfect little hands.
His brows were furrowed like you’d confused him, and you absolutely had.  He hadn’t expected you to kiss him.
“Why’d you do that?” He asked breathlessly, and your cheeks burned pink.
Your shoulders raised a bit in a shrug, and you had to bite your lip to keep from smiling too much.
“I just… wanted to” You whispered.
A smile twitched on the corner of Richie’s lips before his hand cupped your cheek, and he pulled you in again, so he could kiss you right this time.
Your lips were just as soft, if not softer, than he’d imagined they’d be.  And he’d imagined countless times what they’d feel like.  Daydreaming in class, before he fell asleep, and being right by your side for the last seven years.
Kissing you was bliss.
He did it again, taking your face in both of his hands and pulling you impossibly closer.  He could feel your lips smiling against his own, and once again, his heart was beating out of his chest trying to get to yours.
“I’m in love with you, (y/n/n)” He murmured when you parted, and you laughed softly.
“That makes sense,” You replied, reaching a hand up to play with the curls on the back of his neck.  “And… I love you too”
Richie gave you a sunshine smile, which you couldn’t help but return.
“I’m still upset, by the way,” You told him, still playing with the curls.  “But only cause I’m tired of seeing you covered in bruises, okay?”
He nodded, and you leaned your cheek further against the palm of his hand.
“I promise to try” He said, and then raised his pinky.
You looked from his hand and then back to him, a slight glare in your eyes.
“Come on, just do it,” He urged, you rolled your eyes, but he was persistent.  “Just link fuckin’ pinkies with me”
With a giggle you hooked your pinky with his, and held it for a moment.
“You want to go get tacos now?” He asked, and you grinned, nodding your head.
“You read my mind” You answered, and followed him back out the window.
It dawned on you that Richie was both your lover and your fighter.  And he held those titles proudly.
As he took your hand and walked alongside you down the street, he decided there were no other title he’d want to be labeled, besides yours. ___

Seasons of PD: Season 7: Don’t You Ever Do That Again, You Hear Me? (A Halstead Brothers + Halstead Sister! Imagine)
A/N: There are mentions of B1ack Liv3s M4tter (apparently this ended up in that tag, so I changed the wording, so hopefully it’s not there anymore) in regards to peaceful protests in this. And there are mentions of counter-protesters causing riots. I tried my best to portray this as professionally as possible with Y/N's views, Kevin's views, and Jay's views. I did not try to offend anyone at all and I'm very sorry if I did.
Also, I don't know if one part counts as threat of sexual coercion, but I'm fairly certain that's what it's called, so trigger warning for that.
Your age: 18
Jay's age: 32
Will's age: 34
"I get that it's important to you, but I'm not letting you go!" Jay argued as you stood across from him in a screaming match.
"Why? Because You don't believe the same things as me because you haven't met a bad cop? Because you fought for this country and know people who died for it?" you yelled back.
"Yes, me being a cop and a soldier obviously has something to do with this! But I'm also trying to keep you safe! They turn into riots!"
"You do know that's not the Black Lives Matter protesters who start them, right? They're peaceful. Counter-protesting assholes come and start things to give peaceful protesters a bad image!"
"I don't want you to get hurt if something happens! Tear gas hurts, kid. I don't want you to come home with burning eyes and the possibility of going blind and tell me I'm right. I'm trying to prevent that!"
"I know you are, Jay! I just want you to let me have my own damn opinions and do what I want for once!"
"Has a cop ever hurt you in some way? Pulled you over illegally?" Jay roared.
You wanted to tell him your story about something like that that had happened five weeks ago, two weeks after the infection scare across the entire city, but you couldn't because you knew he'd do something stupid and you didn't want that. "No, but--"
His phone rang, cutting you off. "I'll be there," Jay said quickly. Then, he turned back to you. "I gotta go, caught a case. I'll see you later and we can talk about this. Calmly."
"So, you're saying there's a chance you'll let me go?"
"There's maybe a .001% chance, but sure, believe what you want."
You rolled your eyes and he left. But, as he shut and locked the apartment door, he stopped. "Love you," he whispered. Because, with what he did on the job, he knew that there was the possibility every day of him not coming home to you.
***
When you woke up, you were shocked not to see a text from Jay between 3 and 5 am saying that he wouldn't make it home tonight. He usually made it a priority when on a case to tell you that he wouldn't be coming home so that you wouldn't worry.
But, there was a voicemail from him around 11 pm last night and it was currently 9 am.
You put your phone on speaker and played it.
"Hey, Y/N, I'm sorry about arguing. If you really want to go, I think Kevin has his RDO tomorrow so I can see if he's going if you-- OW!" Then, the line just continued playing, and dragging noises were heard until there was a crash and the line went dead.
"Jay? Jay?" What the hell had happened? You quickly replayed the message to make sure it wasn't an issue with your phone, but when you heard the same exact thing again, you knew something had gone terribly wrong.
You went to dial Hailey's number to ask if she had seen Jay when there was a loud knock on your door. You quickly ran across the apartment and looked out the peephole. You saw Hailey and Adam and quickly flung open the door.
"Hey, Y/N," Adam said as he entered.
"Have you guys seen Jay?" you asked.
You saw Hailey visibly swallow. "Listen," she started, but you cut her off.
"What happened? What's going on? He usually texts me if he's going to be working until the morning and I didn't get a text and I got a voicemail and--" You took a deep, gasping breath.
"What voicemail?" Hailey asked as she placed a hand on your shoulder.
"I- It cut off partway through and he yelled and-- wait, he wasn't with you?"
"No," Hailey answered. "He said he had some personal stuff to take care of when we were at a scene and then took off. Then, he never came back, so we decided to check here to see if he just came home or something happened."
"He never came home." Your eyes widened, finally processing what it meant if he wasn't here and Intelligence couldn't find him. "You're telling me he's missing? Again? Oh, no. This can't be happening, not again. Not after our fight last night. I didn't even tell him what happened or that I loved him or--"
"Y/N, I need you to take a deep breath," Hailey told you and you tried to match her breathing. "His radio might just be dead or something like that." She knew that she was lying, but she was trying to stop you from freaking out. "Can you give me your phone so Adam and I can listen to the voicemail?"
You nodded and handed Adam your phone. He pressed play and you watched as his jaw clenched as he was listening to it.
"Shit," he muttered once he was done. "We need you to come to the district with us. Just for safety."
"Can you give me a minute?" you asked. "I- I'm in my pajamas and I haven't brushed my teeth and--"
"We'll leave in half an hour, okay?" Hailey asked and you nodded. "While you're getting ready, we'll send the voicemail over to Kim and Kev. Jay's gonna be okay."
"How do you know that?" you almost whispered.
"Because Jay's one of the strongest people I know," she answered. But, in reality, she wasn't sure about that. They had no idea where he was and according to the timestamp on that voicemail, it had been a little over ten hours since he sent it. For all they knew, Jay could be out of Chicago right now. Scratch that, he could be out of Illinois.
***
"When did you get this voicemail?" Hank asked as everyone in Intelligence, minus Jay but including you, were in the bullpen and trying to trace where the call came from.
"Around 11 last night, Boss," Adam answered for you.
"Okay. So it's been almost 11 hours," Voight said.
"I need a break, excuse me," you said and quickly excused yourself to the locker room.
You made your way to the locker room and sat down and leaned against the wall. This couldn't be happening again, not after that crazy borderline sociopathic drug dealer kidnapped Jay a few years ago and Erin went in and saved him. This could not be happening again.
You thought back to the fight last night and something your mom would always say when she was in a fight with one of the boys or when you had thrown a temper tantrum and then had to go to bed.
I'll always tell you I love you because when you walk out that door or go to bed, I'll never know if that was the last chance I had to tell you I love you.
God, if you hadn't argued with Jay, maybe you wouldn't be feeling this way. Obviously, you'd be feeling scared and upset because Jay was missing and no one had any idea where he was, but at least you wouldn't feel guilty like you currently did.
You felt guilty about starting that fight in the first place by bringing it up even though you knew what his answer was going to be. You felt guilty about yelling. But most of all, you felt guilty and you regretted not saying love you when he left...because that might've been the last time you'd have been able to tell that to your big brother who had always been there for you...even when he really didn't want to.
Jay's Nokia flip phone buzzed as he walked out of school. It was his mom.
"Hey, Mom," he greeted.
"Jay Halstead, if you answered your phone while you're driving..." she trailed off, trying to think of a good threat.
"Mom, I didn't. I was talking to some friends about going for tacos tonight, so I just walked out of school a minute ago."
"Oh," she said.
"What oh?" Jay asked. "That sounded like a bad oh, Mom."
"Well, I wish I would've known that before a professor called in sick to give an exam to his students and I agreed to pick up the extra hours."
"What are you talking about?"
"I can't bring Y/N to the dentist. And I thought since you weren't busy, you could. I also may or not have promised her that she could go to Build-A-Bear after to get a new outfit for Beary because she's so scared."
"Mom," Jay groaned.
"I know, I'm sorry. But, how about this: you do this for me, and I'll extend your curfew by two hours on Friday and Saturday."
"Three," Jay countered.
"Two." Amelia Halstead stood strong.
"Three."
"Two and a half."
"Deal," Jay agreed.
"Thank you. I'll see you tonight. Love you."
"Love you, too."
***
"No," you whined as Jay told you that you had to leave after he walked you home from school later. "I don't wanna go to the dentist. They scary."
"No, they're not," Jay told you. The doctor was what was scary for him with all the needles for the shots. But, the dentist had never bothered him, even when he was a little kid it had never bothered him.
"No!"
"What if I let you bring Beary into the dentist, would you go then?" Jay practically pleaded.
"And you give me chocolate before we leave?"
"If you promise to grab your toothbrush and brush your teeth in the bathroom at the dentist, then yes, I'll give you some chocolate to eat on the way there." Jay was desperate at this point. He knew he shouldn't be giving you everything you wanted, but what were big brothers with a giant age gap for anyway if not to try and spoil his little sister?
"Okay!" You ran off to go grab Beary and your toothbrush and toothpaste while Jay made his way to a high cabinet in the kitchen and grabbed five squares of Dove milk chocolate, three for you and two for him.
In the car, Jay handed you the cholates and you started eating them while you held Beary close to you, trying to gain some comfort out of your favorite stuffed animal.
***
You gripped Jay's hand as you sat and waited for your name to be called. Beary was held in your other hand and you were squeezing him tight against your chest. You had just brushed your teeth like you promised Jay that you would, but you were still utterly terrified.
"Y/N Halstead?" a dental hygienist came out and asked.
You didn't say a word, just held Jay's hand tighter.
"That's you," Jay said gently and with a smile on his face, trying to make you feel less scared.
"No, not me," you told him as you frantically shook your head.
The dental hygienist squatted down in front of you. "Are you Y/N?" You didn't do anything, but Jay must've nodded to confirm that it was indeed you. "And who's this?" she asked as she shook Beary's paw.
"Beary," you said shyly.
"Well, I'm fairly certain that Beary will be with you the entire time. We even have little sunglasses you and he can wear when we shine the really bright light on you to protect both your little eyes. Does that sound good?"
You turned to Jay. "Me and Beary get sunglasses, Jay Jay!"
"I heard! Do you want me to come back with you?"
You thought for a second. "Please come."
Jay laughed. "Okay." He turned to the dental hygienist. "Is that okay?"
"Perfectly fine."
You stood up and held Jay's hand as you walked back into the dentist to get your six-month check-up on your baby teeth.
***
"That wasn't so bad was it?" Jay asked as the two of you walked out to his car after you finished.
"No!" you said as you shook your head. "I even got a pretty bracelet with Belle on it, see?" you exclaimed as you held your hand out to him to show off your yellow bracelet with a charm that had Belle from Beauty and the Beast on it.
Jay acted all surprised and said it was pretty even though he watched as you had picked it out while he had explained to the secretary how your mom would call to schedule your next appointment in six months.
Jay opened his car and made sure you were buckled in and then got in himself and started driving.
"Do you know where we're going?"
You gasped. You had forgotten you got to go to Build-A-Bear after!
"Build-A-Bear!" you yelled. The volume of that yell would've made Jay wince had he not been driving.
"Yup, that's where we're going."
"I think I'm gonna get Beary some new pajamas," you decided.
"What color?"
You held Beary out in front of you. "What color pjs do you want, Beary?" You brought him up to your ear and nodded as he "told" you what color pajamas he wants. "He said blue!"
"Blue pajamas. I'm pretty sure we can find those."
***
Jay and you walked into Build-A-Bear Workshop at the mall and you were met with children running around. To Jay, this was the definition of hell. Except for you, he was fine with you running around, but he really didn't like all the other kids that he had to be careful not to bump into.
"C'mon, Jay Jay!" you told him as you tugged him along to the pajama section.
He allowed himself to be tugged along by you and then you held up almost every single pair of blue pajamas to Beary to see which one was his favorite. He had decided on a pair of light blue pajamas with stars all over them. There was even a cute little hat with a pom-pom on top to go with the pajamas.
Jay paid and then you left with Beary and his brand-new pajamas. You had plans to have him sleep in those pajamas tonight, too.
Unbeknownst to you, Jay hadn't even really wanted to come. The only reason he brought you was that he got his curfew extended. But to you, it was just another fun afternoon with your big brother.
You were startled out of your daydream when you felt a hand on your shoulder. "Sorry, didn't mean to scare you."
Kevin.
"It's fine. I'm fine," you said quickly.
"No, you're not. And that's okay. Hailey and Voight went to see if Jay's where his phone pinged at."
"We fought," you told him.
"You fought?" Kevin asked as he slid down the wall to sit next to you.
"It was stupid. I should've just agreed with him and maybe I wouldn't be feeling like this."
"Like what?"
"Like utter shit." You sighed and ran a hand through your hair. "We were arguing about the BLM protests that were happening tonight. I wanted to go, but he wouldn't let me. The last thing I did was roll my eyes at him, Kev."
The two of you sat in silence for a few moments while Kevin figured out how to comfort you.
"Maybe talking about it will help. What'd you argue about?"
"Just that I wanted to go and he wouldn't let me because he thinks riots will break out. And you and I both know that's not the BLM protesters, that's the counter-protesters. But, he thinks I'll get hurt. I also think it's because he's a cop, so he feels like I'm protesting him, but I'm not. I'm protesting the system."
Kevin nodded. "I get it. Believe me, I do. I live it every day."
"How do you do it?" you asked. "Be an activist and a cop at the same time?"
"Just try and do the right thing with the information you have. And, explain that you're protesting the system and the bad apples, not the police force as a whole."
"I tried. But Jay doesn't think I have a right to protest because I've never had a bad experience with a cop." Which was a lie, but you weren't ready to talk about that just yet.
"Did he say that exactly?" Kevin asked.
"No, but, he asked me if a cop has ever illegally pulled me over."
Kevin nodded. "I know Jay and I know he would never say that you didn't have the right protest. He fought for that right. He mention anything else?"
"That tear gas hurts."
"I think he just wanted to keep you safe, same thing I'd do for Jordan and Vanessa."
"He sounded like he changed his mind on his voicemail, though. He thought that maybe if you were going, then he'd let me go...at least, that's what it sounded like."
Kevin nodded. "All I can say is that until we found Jay, I'm not going to one. Getting your brother is my first priority and it's the first priority of everyone in this unit."
"My first priority, too."
"Kev!" Adam yelled as he banged on the door. "You in there?"
"Yeah, bro! What's up?" Kevin asked.
"We need you to meet with someone!"
***
The hours passed and with each of them that did, you got more and more nervous for Jay's safety. You guessed that this is how he felt when you asked if you could go to the protest, knowing that he'd constantly be worrying about you until you came home safely.
"Y/N, we gotta go," Trudy said as she entered the bullpen around 9:30 pm that night.
"Why? What's going on?" you asked as you grabbed your phone and started following her.
"They found Jay."
"Is he okay?" you asked quickly.
"Y/N..."
"No! He can't be dead, Trudy! He can't!" you wailed.
"He's not. But, he has been shot."
You froze. Shot. Jay had been shot.
"He's en route to Chicago Med right now."
"Can you- can you bring me there?"
"That's where we're going right now."
***
"Will!" you yelled as you ran into the ED and saw your oldest brother.
You ran right up to him and hugged him, not caring that he almost dropped his iPad he had been using to chart.
"Whoa, Y/N." He set the iPad down. "Hey, I know. But Crockett's operating on him right now and he's one of the best surgeons in the hospital."
"I thought you were better than him. You need to do the surgery, Will. you need to save Jay!"
"Y/N, I know it sucks, but I'm family. As much as I want to operate on him, I can't legally do that."
You paused and looked up at him. His eyes were slightly red, but he hadn't been bawling the way that you had been.
"Dr. Halstead! Incoming!" Maggie yelled.
"What does she mean?" you asked, still hanging onto him. "You're still working?"
"There's been a ten-car pile-up on the highway. I have to. It's my job."
"But Jay's in surgery!" you yelled as you pulled away from him. "These people are more important to you than your own brother?"
"They aren't but--"
"But you're working anyway instead of waiting to find out what happens to him?"
"I can't do anything to help Jay right now. But I can help all these people who are pouring in."
"Dr. Halstead!" Maggie shouted again.
"I'll be up in a few hours, I promise," Will told you.
***
A few hours had passed and it was now past midnight. Jay was still in surgery. Will was sitting next to you, in a spare pair of clothes he had packed instead of his scrubs that were covered in blood, and you were leaning your head on his shoulder, close to being asleep.
That was until Crockett came out and Will jumped up, causing your head to hit the back of the chair.
"Ow," you mumbled.
"Sorry," Will apologized and then turned back to Crockett. "What's the verdict?"
"He lost a lot of blood," Crockett told the two of you.
"But he's gonna pull through, right?" Will asked what the two of you were both thinking.
"We'll be out of blood soon."
"What do you mean out of blood?" Will asked, taking a step toward the surgeon. "There's no way you can be out of blood!"
"With that pile-up, we can. I'd recommend you go and say your goodbyes and pray for a miracle."
Will put his hands on the back of his head and started pacing the room. Your breath caught in your throat. This could not be happening. Jay couldn't die, he just couldn't.
Crockett started to walk back towards the operating room.
"Wait!" you yelled. You didn't know what had taken over you, but at this moment, you'd do anything to save your brother. You rolled up your sleeve. "Take my blood."
"Y/N," was all Will could manage to get out.
"I'm sorry, Y/N, but there's protocol for that. I'd love to let you do it, but--"
"Fuck protocol!" you yelled, all the anger and sadness and anxiety that had built up over the past fifteen hours exploding at this very moment. "Rush my labs. Or don't even get my labs done at all. I haven't had sex, so I don't have any STDs. I don't have any diseases or deficiencies since I moved in with Jay years ago. My blood type's O-neg, so I'm a universal donor. Take my goddamn blood, Crockett!" You didn't care that all that information was out in the open because you were barely processing what you were saying. The only thing you cared about was making sure that your brother was okay.
"Y/N," Will said as he walked up to you and placed a hand on your shoulder.
"Don't touch me! And you sure as hell don't want to tell me to calm down!"
"Y/N," Will started again as he took his hand off your shoulder. "What Crockett's saying is that it's not ethical for him to do this. He could get fired."
"Where's the paperwork?" you asked as you turned back to Crockett. "I'll sign whatever I have to sign to make sure you aren't liable at all, that I'm donating this of my own free will. You can even take double the amount of blood that you normally do since I'm a universal donor. Just get me the paperwork."
Crockett and Will shared a look.
"I'll go get a nurse to get you the paperwork."
"Wait, no, no, no," Will said as he walked closer to Crockett. "You can't be serious about this!"
"She said she'll sign it."
"But, I have to co-sign it since she's a minor. So, no, you are not donating blood, Y/N. You almost passed out when I drew vials of your blood years ago. You know what's gonna happen if we take two units of blood? You are gonna feel like utter shit."
"Last I checked, I'm 18, so I can sign my own paperwork! God, I'm not a fucking child anymore, Will! I can make my own decisions!" you yelled back. "And if I don't do this, Jay will die. He'll die, Will. So, I'm giving him my blood with or without your support."
***
You sat in a chair, the ones that Will had told you about years ago with the big padded bar thing that came down in front of you in case you passed out. Typically, they'd just have you lay down in a bed, but since they were short on beds and Will told them that you had a history of getting dizzy and nauseous during simple blood draws, they had decided to put you here instead.
"Last chance to back out," Will told you as the nurse tied off your arm with a blue rubber tie and started to rub your arm to get the big vein in your left forearm to show.
"Jay's dying. No way in hell am I backing out."
Will sighed. He knew you were doing the right thing, but he also knew that you were going to feel terrible after, and he hated seeing you like that. "Okay," he said. "I'll stay here until they get the needle in you and then I'll get you some juice and cookies."
"Ready?" Monique asked.
"Ready," you confirmed. You turned to Will and squeezed your eyes shut as the needle pierced your vein. You heard the sound of the machine and knew your blood was going in there, but you didn't want to look. Getting your blood drawn, you could watch. But this, this was just too much blood to see, so you looked at Will.
"Doing okay?" he asked a few minutes later.
"Yeah," you answered because that was the absolute truth: you were feeling just fine.
"Okay, I'm gonna go get you some cookies and juice. I'll get an update on Jay while I'm out there, too."
You nodded and he left the room.
This wasn't so bad.
***
Okay, so you were lying to yourself. You were currently in hell. Giving the blood hadn't been an issue, it was how you felt after you were done giving blood.
You were currently sitting in that same chair, drinking some juice that Will had brought you. He told you that there was still no update on Jay, but that they were sending the blood back to him right now. (They had rushed labs on a small vial of blood that Monique took before you started the donation. The results came back while you were giving blood, and since your blood was clean, you could give it to Jay.) But, God, but you felt absolutely awful.
"You doing okay?" Will asked.
You shook your head and then stopped because it made you dizzy and put your head in your hands. "No," you groaned.
He handed you a glass of water. "Drink a bit of this too and then I'll open your pack of cookies."
"Why do you want me to drink water and not juice?" you asked as you closed your eyes and tried to stop the spinning in your head.
"Because, you're sweating, Short Stack. Need you to stay hydrated."
You took a few sips of water and then went back to your juice. Will handed you your pack of chocolate chip cookies and you started to eat them.
"Mhm," you groaned and laid your head down on the padded bar thing in front of you that kept you from falling out of the chair. "I don't feel so good."
You felt hot and cold at the same time and the world seemed to spin every time you lifted your head up. And, those cookies did not sit well with you.
"How do you feel? What hurts?" Will asked, jumping into doctor mode since Monique wasn't around. Will assured her that he could look after you while you recovered from your blood being donated at twice the normal amount.
"I just feel like shit," you told him, not picking up your head.
"You gotta give me some symptoms. Give me some symptoms and then I can help."
"Mhm, fine." You looked up at him and blinked slowly. "I feel hot and cold and sweaty. And I feel dizzy and nauseous."
"Okay. That's either a vasovagal reaction or from your blood pressure being low or from your  heart rate being slowed down."
"What's that reaction thingy?"
"You don't like blood in general, so a nervous system response can happen, which could explain your reactions. But, your BP could also be low, which could explain all this too. And, it's one in the morning and you haven't slept yet, so tiredness could also be a factor."
"Great," you said sarcastically as you remembered the last time your blood pressure was low.
You had taken some of Jay's medication that he had to ward off his PTSD-induced nightmares after you were involved in a shooting at a house party. The one time you took them without sleeping directly after, you felt almost exactly like this...except without the sweatiness. You just mostly felt dizzy. You had called Will, he came over, and then you ended passing out and he had to get you to Med. Then you were admitted and they got your pressure back up. You were also prescribed sleeping pills which had helped immensely.
Will grabbed a blood pressure cuff from a drawer. "Arm," he told you. You held out your arm and he wrapped the cuff around it and pumped the end of it.
You waited as he looked at the gauge on the blood pressure cuff. Will said one number over another number, which meant nothing to you, but must've meant something to him. You raised your eyebrows, hoping he was going to tell you what those numbers meant in non-medical English terms.
"BP's low, which explains most of the symptoms," he told you.
You took another bite of your cookie and washed it down with some juice, but then immediately after started dry heaving.
Will rushed around and then thrust a pink basin under your mouth.
You took a deep breath after you finally stopped dry heaving about thirty seconds later.
"Better?" Will asked. You shook your head. "I'm going to get you an IV of anti-nausea medication."
You were going to argue with him about how he wasn't working, so he probably couldn't get you that. And, you were fairly certain he couldn't prescribe things to family. But, you felt terrible, so you really don't care if Will was being reckless and borderline unethical/illegal right now.
You nodded and then laid your head back down.
When Will came back, he thought you were asleep, but when you heard footsteps, you looked up.
"Alright," he began as he assembled the IV. "Last poke of the day, I promise."
"After this can I take a nap in the on-call room?" you asked as you held your arm out to him once again.
"You know I can't let you do that." Will tied a blue band around your arm and started rubbing it to get a vein in the inside of your elbow. Then, he noticed your pale and sweaty face. "Fine. Hopefully, Goodwin won't fire me after this. But I have a good reason. Turn so you don't see the needle."
You did and closed your eyes. You felt the poke and squeezed your eyes shut, but then it subsided and you felt that weird feeling of the medicine going straight into your veins. God, you hoped this worked.
You hoped Jay would survive because you didn't just go through all that for nothing.
***
You slowly opened your eyes as you felt someone shaking your shoulder. "No," you groaned as you turned to face the other side of the bed.
But then you remembered where you were: the doctors on-call room because Jay had been shot. Maybe it was Will waking you up to tell you--
"Short Stack, wake up. Jay's awake."
That got you wide awake.
You snapped your eyes open, rolled over, and jumped out of bed.
"I take it you're feeling better?" Will asked.
"Sleep helps. Let's go!"
Will quickly led you out of the room and through some hallways and up a few flights of stairs to Jay's recovery room.
He was currently talking to Hailey.
"Jay!" you exclaimed as you burst into the room to see him with a sling and see Hailey helping him with his jacket.
"Hey, Short Stack," he greeted and then turned his attention back to Hailey. "Sorry, what were you saying?"
"Uh, just that I'm glad you're back," she told him. "I'll give you some time with your siblings." She turned her attention to Will. "Oh, and the things you told me to tell Kim to get are in that corner." She pointed to the left front corner of the room. "Bye, guys." She waved and then left.
You gave Jay a huge hug and tried to avoid his arm that was in a sling. "Don't you ever do that again, you hear me?" you told him seriously and then looked up at him with tears in your eyes.
Jay chuckled. "I'll try not to."
"You better do more than try." You went back to leaning your head against his chest as tears soaked his t-shirt.
"Hey, hey, don't cry," he soothed. "I'm okay. I'm fine, Y/N."
"I was so scared. The last thing we would've done was argue. I'm so sorry. I should never have asked to go to those protests. I know you were just trying to protect me--"
"Hey, it's okay for you to have your own opinions and views. It's just gonna take me a while to get used to you being an adult now and not that little sister who would always hold my hand and beg to go to Build-A-Bear."
"Speaking of Build-A-Bear," Will started and then walked over to the corner of the room and picked up two boxes. They were white boxes with dark blue designs on them. You knew those boxes: they were what the workers put new bears in when a kid came and bought one. You let go of Jay. Will peeked into one of the holes. "This one's for you." He handed Jay a box. "And this one's for you." He handed you the other box.
"You got us Build-A-Bears?" you asked as you raised an eyebrow.
"Just open the boxes."
You did and laughed when you saw Beary in the box, dressed in a hospital gown and white little bunny slippers. Your brothers were not kidding when they said they'd get one for you.
Jay laughed as he opened his. His Build-A-Bear was a light blue color and it also had on a hospital gown as well as a sling on one arm. The bear also had on a policeman cap. "Oh, man," Jay said as he continued laughing.
"Press the right paw," Will told him and he did, causing Ruzek's voice to float through the room.
Stop getting kidnapped. Glad you're okay, though.
You started laughing hysterically at this point.
"One more thing," Will said as he walked over to the counter and pulled out a marker and two hospital bracelets. On one he wrote Beary Halstead. "Jay, what are you naming your bear?" Will asked.
"I gotta name it?"
"Um, it's not an it. It's a he or a she...could be a they, too," you said.
"Fine. I gotta name him?"
"Yes," Will told him.
Jay groaned. "Fine. Blue."
"Boo! That's boring," you said.
He groaned again. "Detective Blue. There. Better?"
"Better," you confirmed.
Will wrote Det. Blue Halstead on the other hospital band. Then, he handed Beary's to you and Detective Blue's to Jay.
"I cannot believe you," Jay said.
"I can," Will laughed. "Now put it on him. Just like Y/N's doing with Beary."
Jay reluctantly put it on Detective Blue's arm. But then he realized something. "Wait, why does Beary have a hospital gown if Y/N wasn't in the hospital?"
"Yeah, about that..." you trailed off.
Jay cocked his head to the side. "What did you do this time?"
"Other than save your life, I got nauseous and Will had to give me anti-nausea medication," you explained.
"Wait, back up. You saved my life? How?" Jay asked as he looked between you and Will.
"She essentially cussed at Crockett until she got what she wanted," Will said nonchalantly.
"Which was...?" Jay pried.
"Giving you blood because the hospital was out because of a car accident. If she wouldn't have given you blood..." Will trailed off, not wanting to say the words.
"I'd be dead," Jay practically whispered.
"Yeah," Will confirmed, his voice at about the same volume as Jay's.
Jay felt himself getting choked up as he pulled you in for another hug. "Thank you."
"I know you'd do the same for me."
"In a heartbeat, Short Stack. In a heartbeat."
You stayed like that until Will went ahead and broke the comfortable silence that had fallen over the three of you.
"I hate to break this up, but there's something else I need to tell you guys," Will said.
You and Jay both turned to him and you let yourself out of Jay's embrace. "Which is?" you asked.
"Voight gave Jay two weeks furlough to recover and I talked Goodwin into giving me two weeks vacation--"
"How in the hell did you do that?" Jay asked.
"Let's just say I'm going to be working Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day. But that's beside the point. We have two weeks of vacation time."
"You do know I work right?" you asked.
"At a coffee shop, not at a big kid job," Will said. "And, I had Kim and Adam stop in there on their way to get the bears. They explained the situation and your work gave you two weeks off. Adam said he may have had to flash his badge, but that's beside the point."
"And you took vacation because...?" you asked.
"We need to make sure Jay relaxes and there's so many protests-turned-riots happening right now that we should probably get out of here."
"You do know it's not the peaceful protesters starting those, right? It's counter-protesters and other people who are racist bigots and people who decided they have no other choice but to be violent," you said, making your views known once again.
"I'm very much aware, Y/N. But, no matter who started it, people were running from tear gas and burning buildings last night."
"Alright, back on topic," Jay started, not wanting to have another argument like he had two days ago with you. "Where are we going?"
"I figured Wisconsin would be a good choice."
***
"It's my turn to pick the music," you whined as Will looked for another song on your long drive to Wisconsin.
"I'm the oldest, so I get control of it," Will argued.
"No, you've controlled it for the last three hours. I've had to listen to nineties hip-hop for that long. My eardrums are gonna bleed. Please make him give the aux, Jay."
"Dude, just give her the aux, and then she'll be quiet. Remember, she likes early 2000s pop-punk and 2000s stuff in general. We'll probably know most of it."
Will reluctantly handed you the aux. "Thank you. And, just to remind you two, I'm a big fan of Taylor Swift's first few albums and 5 Seconds of Summer."
You clicked play on Take What You Want by One OK Rock featuring 5 Seconds of Summer. You queued up some more songs by 5 Seconds of Summer and two by Taylor Swift, just to mess with your brothers, and then you added songs they would know like All the Small Things by Blink-182, Check Yes, Juliet by We The Kings, Dear Maria, Count Me In by All Time Low, and Ocean Avenue by Yellowcard.
By the time Dear Maria, Count Me In started playing, all three of you were jamming out, which caused Jay to forget to put his blinker on when he changed lanes...and there was a cop right there in the emergency turnaround.
Jay heard and saw the sirens behind him and slowed down. He knew the drill from pulling people over on his days on patrol. Now that he was in Intelligence, he practically just ripped the criminals out of their cars and handcuffed them against the side of their (usually stolen) car.
He got out his license and registration, along with his badge because he did have his service weapon with him. He'd be damned not bringing it with him in this day and age...and sometimes there were coyotes and he and Will didn't know if the old hunting rifle at the cabin that your grandpa used to use even had ammunition in and if there was even any ammunition at the cabin.
Jay rolled down his window as the officer walked up to him.
Your hands started to sweat and your heart started to race as you remembered your last encounter with an officer that you didn't know.
You were driving home from the library late at night after studying for a biology exam. And no, the library wasn't an excuse for going out and partying. You genuinely had gone to the library and had had a great and very focused study session for a few hours.
All of a sudden, you saw flashing lights and heard sirens. You turned down your music. You looked in your rear-view mirror and saw that the cop was right on your tail. He turned off his sirens and then turned them on and off quickly.
You were the one getting pulled over.
You pulled off to the side of the road and then rolled down your window.
"License and registration," the officer told you. He looked young, maybe a rookie.
"What's the problem officer?" you asked. Jay always told you that you had a right to know why you had been pulled over.
"You were going three miles over the speed limit, did you know that?"
"I don't recall how fast I was driving." Jay always told you never to admit to speeding because then you could fight the ticket if you ended up getting one.
"License and registration, please," he repeated.
"Reaching into my glove compartment and moving some CDs to get my registration," you narrated and then handed the registration to the officer. "Reaching over to my passenger seat to grab my purse which has my license in it...unzipping my purse...reaching in for my license." You handed him your license.
He ran your information and then came back to the window. "I'm sorry, Miss, but I have to give you a ticket."
You furrowed your eyebrows. For three miles over the speed limit? No fucking way was this happening.
"Uh," was all you could say.
"But, there is something you can do to get out of this ticket. You help me out, I help you out."
"I- I don't understand," you stuttered.
He looked down and you followed where he was looking and cupping himself with the hand that wasn't holding your license and registration.
"I- I..."
"Or I can just up this speeding ticket to going twenty miles over it. Say there was an open container in the car, too," he said.
You had no idea what to say. You couldn't risk getting your insurance upped and getting a minor in possession charge. You'd never be allowed to drive again!
But, there's no way you'd do this. You couldn't. But he was so much bigger than you that he could hold you down with one hand tied behind his back.
He placed his hand on the door handle. "You have three seconds to make your decision. One...Two..."
"My brother's Jay Halstead! Badge number 51163! His Sergeant's Hank Voight!" Your voice trembled as you yelled that and you were close to tears.
He looked back down at your license. It did say Y/N Halstead on it. He handed you back your license and registration. "Have a nice night."
Then, he walked back to his patrol car, got in, turned off the sirens, and drove off. You were so scared that you didn't even look to see what his last name or badge number was.
Once you had stayed pulled over for a good couple of minutes to make sure that the cop was nowhere in sight, you started driving again. You stopped at a drive-thru and got yourself a chocolate flurry with Oreos. Then, you sat in the parking lot with your hands still shaking and your heart still racing as you ate and started to cry. You cried for almost half an hour and waited there for another fifteen minutes so your eyes wouldn't be as puffy when you got home because you didn't want Jay asking questions.
"Y/N, you good?" Jay asked, taking you out of your thoughts.
"Yeah, yeah," you said quickly...almost too quickly. "Why?"
"Will just asked if you wanted to go back because we missed a song and you didn't answer."
"Yeah, I can do that." You quickly went back to the previous song and tried to sing with as much happiness as you did previously. But, you didn't get the image of that night or the feeling of dread out of your stomach for another hour.
***
You woke up the next morning very well-rested. The boys had taken the loft and the two twin beds that were up there and you got to take your mom and dad's old room because you were the only girl, so they said it was only fair that you got the bedroom.
You heard the dripping of water and got out of bed and then padded down the hall and to the kitchen. Jay was standing there in pajama pants and a t-shirt. (Thank God he wasn't shirtless for once in the morning. Your brothers really needed to learn how to put shirts on when they walked out of their rooms in the morning...and maybe by you telling them to put a shirt on all the time, you training them had finally paid off.) He drummed his fingers on the counter while he waited for the coffee to be done.
"Morning," you said.
He turned around. "Good morning. Shocked you're awake. It's only 8 am."
"And I'm shocked you haven't been up for two hours," you retorted.
"Oh, I've been up for an hour, just been reading upstairs. Will's not up yet, though."
"He always sleeps late when he doesn't have to work though, doesn't he?"
"Pretty much. We've made breakfast plans before and he's missed them because he was sleeping."
The timer went off on the coffee pot, alerting you that it was finished. Jay started to pour his in a tumbler. He held out a tumbler to you. You raised an eyebrow, silently wondering why he wasn't pouring it into a mug.
"I was gonna go for a morning canoe ride. You can come along if you want. Wouldn't want hot coffee spilling all over us," he told you.
"Did you bring creamer?" you asked.
"Irish cream creamer, just for you."
You reached into the fridge and grabbed the creamer.
"So, canoe ride?" Jay asked.
"Sure."
He poured coffee into a tumbler for you and then slid it to you to put your desired amount of creamer in.
***
Twenty minutes later, you were starting out in the canoe. You told Jay there was no way in hell that you'd be doing the rowing. He told you that he could only row with one arm because of his sling, so you'd have to do the other side. Skeptically, you started rowing. Jay told you that you'd be fine, just to follow his instructions.
Fifteen minutes later, when you were out in the middle of the lake, facing the forests of Wisconsin, he stopped.
"Why'd you stop?" you asked.
He picked up his tumbler of coffee off the floor of the canoe. "We need to talk."
"About what?" you asked as you picked up yours as well and held it with both hands.
"About your reaction last night when I got pulled over. You freaked. I need to know why."
"I- I didn't freak. I was just tired," you lied.
"You had quite the amount of energy right before that," he quipped.
"It's nothing."
"Y/N, I'm not letting this go. Is it because of the protests and riots and because of all the media coverage and those few bad apple cops and, I guess the system, that you're seeing that's making you nervous?"
"No, it's not that."
"Then what is it?"
"You're not going to let this go are you?" you asked.
"I will stay in this canoe in the middle of the lake until you tell me what is going on, Y/N Halstead."
"You wouldn't."
Jay shrugged with the arm that wasn't currently in a sling. "Try me."
You sighed. "Just don't be mad that I didn't tell you sooner, okay?"
"I won't. You have my word on that."
"So, a little over a month ago I was driving home from the library..."
***
When you finished, you were in tears. "Did you get a last name? Badge number?" Jay asked as he rubbed circles on your back with his good hand.
You sniffled. "N- No. I'm sorry."
"You have nothing to apologize for. Nothing at all."
"If I wouldn't have said- said your name...He had his hand on my door handle! And he was so much bigger than me. I'm sorry!"
You turned and buried your face in his chest. "Y/N, you have nothing to be sorry for."
"I should've told you right away, though! But you just had that really rough case and I didn't want to put too much on your shoulders and--"
"Y/N, I need you to take a deep breath. You need to breathe. This was not your fault. None of it was."
You calmed your breathing and just sat there, silent tears streaming down your face.
"That's why I wanted to go to the protests," you said after a few minutes. "Because I've actually had a bad experience with a cop."
"Which should've never happened in the first place."
"I was so scared," you whispered.
Jay just hugged you tighter as he thought about how strong his little sister was. You had given blood to save his life even though you knew you'd feel terrible after and you hadn't told him about this horrible cop--which he would kick this cop's ass the minute the got back to Chicago--because you didn't want him to have too much on his plate after that terrible case where he put an innocent man in jail and got him killed...which was the main reason he had been shot.
"When we get back to the cabin, I'll try and call Voight. I don't know if I'll have service, though."
"Why?" you asked.
"I'm gonna have him look up who was on their beat near you that night so he can go interrogate people on my behalf. Probably best he does it and not me." Because Jay knew that the minute he saw that cop, he wouldn't be able to hold himself back.
You nodded.
"Hey, cheer up, kid. We're here for two weeks, away from everything. Away from the city and everything that goes on there. And I can promise you that that cop will get what's coming to him, whether that be losing his job or going to jail or prison."
"Do I have to tell Will? Or can you tell him? I really don't want to talk about this again."
"I can do it," Jay answered. "Speaking of Will, if he's not up when we get back, what do we say we wake him up with some cold lake water?"
"Like dump it on him?" you asked as you widened your eyes. Jay nodded. "No, that's mean. Then he'll have to wait for his sheets to dry out and they'll smell the entire time."
"We have spare sheets and blankets in the closet."
"Fine, let's do it. But just so you know, I'm telling him that it was your idea and I also have a lock on my bedroom door here, which will make it harder for him to sneak in and dump water on me."
"I will be sleeping in your room tonight," Jay joked.
"Nope. It was your idea, so you're gonna have to live with Will's payback."
Those two weeks were filled with laughter, pranks, board games, corn hole, swimming, fishing (well, you read either in the canoe or on the dock while the boys fished), and just spending time with each other. You were glad that Will had the bright idea to take two weeks up here...even though he got drenched in cold lake water the first morning by you and Jay.
A/N: I got a request from @ La_lectrice_33 on wattpad for Y/N going to the dentist, so I hope you liked that little scene!
